"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Ok, so I've been talkin to this girl at work. I dont know if she likes me or not. We've gotten lunch a couple of times and the last time, when I asked if she wanted to go, she said she wasnt hungry but she'd go with me anyway.

She laughs at the **** I say, even if its not really funny. But she has trouble keeping eye contact. She looks down after a few seconds.

Shes either shy, or she doesnt like me. I ask her questions and she gives me short answers, she doesn't elaborate much. and its really annoying. I'm gonna ask her straight up is shes just shy or if she hates me. She didnt even say bye to me when she left... What the ****.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Okay... so let's review:

(1) You ask her out to lunch. She's not hungry, but she goes anyway;

(2) She laughs at stuff you say, even when it's not all that funny;

(3) She loses eye contact every few seconds.

Here's the deal:

(1) She doesn't want to eat but wants to spend time with you because she LIKES you;

(2) She laughs at stuff that may or may not be funny because you're making her feel giddy and happy inside, indicating that she LIKES you;

(3) She likes looking at you, but doesn't want to give the appearance that she's gazing at you since she's not sure how you feel... BECAUSE SHE LIKES YOU.

"But what if she's shy?" you ask. So what?? Why you would assume she hates you is beyond me, especially if she's going out of her way to spend time with you (and believe me, if she's going to lunch with you and not eating, she's DEFINATELY going out of her way!). However, the LAST THING you want to do to someone who is shy is call them out on it. She's knows she's shy, you know she's shy - so what? That just makes it YOUR job to make her comfortable around you until she comes out of her shell.

But, in short, don't overthink this whole thing, man, or you'll end up cutting off your own foot with this one. She likes you, she's shy, and the best thing you could do is keep asking her places and getting to know her.

Does she ever ask you what you're doing for the weekend or after work?

mmmmmm... nope, she never really asks me anything. She did mention what she did the night before a couple of times. But she really doesnt initiate conversations with me. She wont even really come over to say hi. thats why I dont really get her.

And, I asked her friend out in the summer and got denied. So thats why u havent asked her out yet.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Something about this entire situition has me worried. Read plenty of articles from the DJ bible before you go out.
