Must I do the operation?

Holla fellow Djs, I have had braces since I was 13 and I had started my dental treatment since the age of 9. Well the treatment has helped to some extent, my teeth are fairly straight, but one thing remains, I've got an overbite of the jaw, people can't notice this, and now to correct this I need surgery, thing is I don't want it, Ive told this to my dad numerous of times and he seems to not take me seriously, how do I stop all of this without holding someone hostage with a gun? How do i tell all of em im happy with my appearance!

Does it bother you physically?

How can they force you have a surgery you don't desire. nor need?
It's beyond stupid!

Nope it don't bother me at all, my dad says people are gonna laugh at me when my jaw is over sized, thing is there is no sign of this happening, i mean I am 17, if it was that over grown I would do it, but its not
