I just got mugged for the first time last night, fun stuff. Anyone else ever been mugged, what's the story?

Never happened to me, hope it never happens to me.
Still not sure if I'd comply or immediately begin fighting,
since complying doesn't guarantee you won't get hurt anyway.

Mugging never happen to me but if I ever am going out at night I usually don't take a wallet, I just take some large bills and wrap them around my driver licence. It will be a hassle to get mugged and need to replace everything plus if they are really good they can hack into your bank account.

2 words.. american express.

I NEVER carry around more than say, 20 dollars on me. If I need instant cash for something, which is rare, I will stop by an ATM.. otherwise, I pay for everything using my american express card(s). It's literarly a cash card, you just pay them back at the end of the month. What I do is because I literarly use it like cash, I send them a deposit out of my bank account about once a week to cover what I spent the last week.

Backbraker, what if you get mugged and they take you to a cashpoint and force you to withdraw money!

My jeans have a small pocket above one of the main pockets and its opening is concealed by my belt, so i put notes in there.

a group of guys tryed to mug me once, it was at night i was alone, fortuantly i realised what was happening right from the start as they attempted to close me off from all sides. I manged to run away before they could close me off.

I remember getting kicked in the head, stomped in the gut, and getting my head cracked with a 2x4 for 6 cents! HAHA, fvckers got what was coming to them though.

Tell me guys, how do you ever get yourself into a situation where you could actually get mugged?

You stupid enough to take shortcuts under bridges, and through dead parts o town?

After clubbing one night me and a mate went to a petrol station to get a bite to eat.

We were outside eating some dodgey food when this car pulls up about 10 metres from us. I noticed a guy driving, a girl in the passenger side, and another girl on the drivers side. The guy in the back gets out of the car, and walks around towards us, he's still right next to the car, so a good 10 metres from us, I can see his hands, they're empty and he says

"give me your wallets."

We're both drunk, and its semi-scray. But quite funny. Taking it half seriously.

"I don't have a wallet. Just carry around cash + cards."

"Give me your phones and wallet."

"dude.. i don't carry a wallet.."

Now he still hasn't moved towards us. He hasn't reached for anything. So we're both thinking this is pretty funny now..

Another friend walks out of the petrol station and I call over to him.

"hey man, check this out. We're getting mugged."

He comes and sits down behind us.

The driver is yelling at him

"get in the car! get in the f*cken car!"

So it was the closest I've come to being mugged. Initially it was scary-ish.

I'd imagine what check mate kid UK said would be VERY scary.

I've had my bag cut then ripped off its straps by several guys on motorbikes. I've never been attacked by bandits, but some of my friends was in a freight group that got attacked in central Asia.

If you get mugged in a 2nd/3rd world country, just hand over your stuff and be glad you're alive. You think American teens are dangerous, just wait till you meet 3rd world muggers. They'll murder you for a day's worth of food.

Some guy at a club the other night who was trying to be funny by being na idiot and then he says to me as i get up "im only jokeing...oh and give me your wallet, now im bieng serious"

So i was just like "i dont even cary a wallet so jokes on you"

(he was only joking btw even when he said he was serious, but just thought i would post it anyway)

I got mugged sorta.

They had a knife with em.

All they could get out of all 3 of us was a free pass to Rugby League games in Sydney.

I wonder if they relized the season was over...

I posted a few weeks back about it, but I had 4 guys try to mug me in the apartment complex i live in...idiots got caught a few minutes afterwards, turns out 3 of em are juveniles and 1 adult, and live a little close by...I'll be seeing them in court in a couple weeks, been tryin to bulk up a lil still not sure if i should shave off my facial hair for a different look so they can't recognize me off the bat if i ever see em in the street again or what

Yeah, Canada's a lot more crime free than the states are. I've still got 4 shotguns sitting in my closet at home, and a peashooter sitting under the seat in my truck.

It's true that it isn't safe anywhere you are. I know you could do some serious damage with your hands just as well as I can. Give me a hockey stick and I could take out twenty people in ten minutes before the cops come around...

So yea, I get to go to court on the 25th to face one of the bums who tried to mug me...the bum and his friends live like 5 minutes away from me its sad...i'm growin my beard out and bulkin up just for this....gotta pick what color tie i'ma wear that day lol

i got mugged. i dealed drugs for a little bit (dont ever do it, its not worth it) and i got robbed like 600 bucks
