Hi guys, I'm a senior, boy, I just moved from France, and I have some questions about high school, because it's really different in France, so i'm a little lost ;)
First, it's a little stupid but how do you make friends ?? I france we always are with the same people in class, there are breaks where you arr with them so you can't evitate them. But here, i don't have time to speak to others people, and with my bad speaking it's hard. So, when do you make friends ?
Then, it's about the homecoming dance. I'm going, but I don't have a date (because i don't know anybody). Is it ok to go there without a date ? What to wear, a suit ?
This question is for girls, in France people say that americans girls love frenchies, the accent, ect. Is that true ?
Last question, still for girls, if i go to see a girl that i don't really know and i ask her for a date, will she be shocked or is it ok ? In france if you want a date you have to know well the girl, but here everything is differrent !
I really need help, it's hard for me and i really want to have fun this year, and not stay alone... Thanks guys.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I suppose your main issue is language but just from reading your post, your English seems to be quite decent. Where I live we don't have homecomings. We have the equivalent(?) which are proms and yes you do wear suits but dates are not necessary. In fact, most people at my prom were dateless.

one good way to make friends at school is through joining some organization.
if you play sports, this is another good way to make friends.
you'll have to step out and talk to people though. i know this is harder because of your language issue. but most people (hopefully) should understand that you are new to this country and accept you for that.

i do not know how to answer your homecoming question. your homecoming may be different from others. you should ask someone else at your school for this information.

you being french would be helpful with a lot of women. yes many american females (not all) would find the french accent/appearance to be attractive.

as for your last question- it depends on the girl. some will be shocked, as you say. and some will not be.

good luck. i hope this helps
