Rodger Dodger, doesn't work as a DJ movie, it portrays ROger( the "DJ") as a wannabe jerk but makes him look like a loser compared to his naiive snsitive nephew, wotching this will take you completley out of the DJ mindset.Vulpine said:
A movie worth wotching is Catch me if you can, in my opinion both Hanks, and Dicaprio play dj's all the way through, tits just dicaprio's character is so ahead of hanks' game he look far more suave.
In the end hank's comes thorugh as a DJ, well worth wotching.

Again, I am going to say JAILHOUSE ROCK. If you think this is just another beach movie, you are dead wrong. This movie is in b&w and was made in 1957, before Elvis got "soft." He played a real bad@ss in this film.
Elvis is Vince Everett, a construction worker who gets into a barfight and ends up in the pen for manslaughter. His cellmate is a guitar player, and he teaches the young Elvis how to play guitar. Elvis learns a lot of hard lessons in the pen, and when he comes out, he is one hardened, smart@ss SOB. He meets (Peggy) Judy Tyler, who immediately falls for him, but he demonstrates some TREMENDOUS DJ skills:
(Sitting at the topless bar, Peggy sits beside Vince and Vince is staring straight at her chest, without even trying to hide it)
Peggy: Tell me what you see? (pissed off)
Vince: Oh, about 5'-2", 120 pounds, pretty well stacked
Peggy: I'm glad you find me pleasing. (smiling)
Vince: I don't find you nothin' (smart @ass tone)
Peggy: Then why were you staring?
Vince: I was only interested in what you were writing in your little book, so don't get any fancy ideas about yourself. (smart @ss tone)
Peggy: Oh, I guess I figured wrong
Vince: I guess you did (smart @ss tone)
Peggy: If you buy me a fresh drink, I will tell you about the figures
Vince: Buy your own drink
Peggy: Is that the kind of manners that is found out in the backwoods?
Vince: Just tell me about the figures (Loud, hateful tone)
Peggy goes on and tells Vince all about her career in the music industry and the figures she was writing. She falls for him HARD, and takes him to visit her parents. At one point, he is sitting there in her parents home, and one of her mother's friends asks him a question about music:
Lady: What do you think, Mr. Everett?
Vince: Lady, I don't know what the H3LL you're talking about.
Vince puts his beer (yes beer!) down and gets up and leaves, and Peggy follows right behind him out the door:
Peggy: Vince, where are you going?
Vince: Get off my back kid, I ain't in the mood
Peggy: You have insulted my parents in my home and your behavior is just not forgiveable
Vince: Well what did you expect? I come down here having a beer and some broad starts asking me about some stupid question
Peggy: They were just trying to get you into the the conversation, Vince
Vince: They can SHELL their conversation. I don't even think they were talking English.
Peggy: I'll drive you home (upset)
Vince: I'll WALK
Peggy: I think I am going to just HATE you
Vince: (turning around and walking back to her) You ain't going to hate me, I ain't going to LET you hate me
Vince grabs her FORCEFULLY, and kisses her HARD.
Peggy: How dare you think such cheap tactics would work with me
Vince kisses her again, this time even HARDER.
Vince: That ain't tactics baby, it's just the beast in me
Vince walks away to go home, and Peggy is left standing there, half upset, and half in complete factuaton.
