There is a story on the Huffington Post about how man and woman handle stress. According to the article, men are motivated to make money and acquire power whereas women are motivated to get along with their co-workers. There is an obvious gender bias taking place with women being the victims. Most of the respondents are women doing the typical male bashing. :cuss: Check it out.

Or you guys work harder because you're sensitive of other people conditions?

Feminist bullsh1t...god it pisses me off. At my work place its actually the women that try to fvck you over 10 steps again instead of the men. The men work together and get sh1t done and get along. The women just try to cover their own asses and push the work onto you....fvcking huffpieceofsh1t.

One must be careful how he/she interprets these results. It can be interpreted that one sex is responsible for the problems of the other. The author places emphasis on women's issues. The way men and women cope with stress is rooted in evolution. Men evolved to assume to role of protector and provider so naturally we are going to evaluate situations to figure out how it will affect our ability to fulfill our role. The success or failure of a business deal can have a long term effect on financial stability. Thus it's important for men to be competitive and that increases the stress level. Women who entering professions that are traditionally dominated by men may experience stress simply because the goal and approach of the job is different than how the female brain evolved. A simple fact of life is that many things we do we will simply not receive credit or praise, but we do them anyway because it's the right or the necessary thing to do. Regarding stress management, we must look for strategies that best serve the individual. The problems that men and women face are equally important.
