"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

There is this girl I quite like who and we have these very flirty conversations. The problem is my friend who is my flatmate fancies her and got turned down by her, and my female friend who is also my flatmate is her best friend and would get upset if I asked her out as I have a bit of a bad reputation as I hit on girls a lot. Usually this would not bother me, but if I made a move and either of them found out then my two friends would be most angry with me and it would make living with them very awkward.

This is further complicated by the fact that the girl I quite like knows all about my one-itis with another girl and I wouldn't want her to think she is just a rebound or a cheap substitute.

How is the best way to approach this situation?

Go for it, I wouldn't live in regret. I'd be the angry one if I was you, being labled like that. With the oneitis thing, I'd be more worried about her thinking your a clingy, obsessive nerd!

Peronaly I'd do a quick 3 week plan of manipulation. Get her to think you have moved on by telling her about some other "stunning" girl you met in a club, but you didnt get her number. Be all, "they come, they go" to her.

Run her through a few perfect night in, and cuddle routines.

Then say you saw a old female friend the other day who used to be realy "beutiful", but now she has piled on the pounds and looks terrible. Say, "girls put on weight easy". Ask her "how hard would it be for you to pile on the lbs?". she replies blah blah blah blah. You then say "awwww i'd still fancy you if you were fat".

The she will fall hard for you UNLESS there is zero attraction at the start.

Yes that sounds like a plan. I am going to subtely let her know that I am going out and hitting on girls and she will start to wonder why I haven't hit on her. I did it this evening...she was asking me how my shopping at tesco went and i told her there was a pretty new check out girl called Ashleigh who I was chatting to, and she teased me about hitting on checkout girls, and I said "I can't help it, I cannot resist a pretty girl" and she said "but u can resist me" so I think there is a bit of a spark there. She seems to respond really well to ****y and funny and is very good at banter.

I am going to spend the next few weeks hitting on girls and going out to parties and letting my flatmates tell her about my antics (they talk about my womanising a lot), and then I will use that line about the fat girls on her.

Haha, it'll only work in the right situation and mood. You say something like that when you're both eating hotdogs at some diner and it'll come off caustic and meaningess. Say something like that in a "romantic" setting, and it'll work like a charm.

Just be careful when you start using "cheesy" lines like that. It's like the force, there's a dark side and a light side. :)

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
