All my life, I have had a mole about the size of a pencil eraser on my cheek. I've recently been thinking of having it removed, so I want to know if anybody here has had something similar done. How was it? How much did it cost? Are the results any good? And also, if anybody happens to live in in southwestern ontario, and knows a good doctor for this, please recommend him. Thank you for any help.

I've had moles removed. One from my neck, a few from my back and chest. I had it done at a dermatologist for like $10 after insurance. No pain other than a small shot to numb it, and done in 5 minutes. Now I have what look like small freckles where the moles were. It's a common procedure and not a big deal for doctors to do at all.

I have heard that the removal process leaves a scar behind, and I am not sure if you want to have the scar left behind.

Contact a dermatologist and ask him about it.

Thanks

Thanks Shiftkey. Did you just go to your regular doctor or a dermatologist? Oh and WorkerOuter, I realize it usually leaves a scar, but I doubt it would be more noticible than this.
