Have you guys heard about this? It's like a real life version of NZT-48 (from the movie Limtless). Although a lot of people use it (irresponsibly) to become insomniacs, I'm tempted to order it and use it to become more productive during the day so I can get the sleep I need.

Have you guys had any experience with this drug or have any stories to share? I'm curious.

It sounds like good, clean meth, which was rumored to have been used by the Nazi soldiers in WW2. They got a lot done and didn't seem to ever need to sleep.

I think all drugs should be legal, but at the same time, I realize that there is no free lunch in regard to your brain chemicals. Whatever makes you happy now will make you sad later (especially if you do it enough), and whatever gives you energy now will make you tired later. There is no net gain.

Modafinil is like caffeine. This drug sucks.

If you want a drug like the movie Limitless, you will need Dexedrine or Adderall.

It's not a good drug. I have taken it (brand name Provigil) and it's new cousin Nuvigil and found that they didn't do anything for me besides make me feel less like myself and increase my heart rate. I did not feel more awake, focused, alert, or anything else positive.

Dexedrine and Adderall however - totally different story. You will never be more productive, focused, and energized (in a good way) than when you are on either of those two medications. Bible Belt is right that what goes up will come down. If you have an indication for the drugs however, see a doctor. These two along with amphetamine analogues Ritalin and Focalin work very effectively. Desoxyn is also available, which is prescription methamphetamine but I would be cautious about that. Not because it has a bad reputation but because the bad reputation is somewhat deserved. Substituted amphetamines are neurotoxic... unsubstitued amphetamines are too, but adding that methyl group significantly increases the payload.

I've only tried Piracetam myself, first time I used it I literally felt like I was Mr. Spock for several hours. However some people (like me apparently) build up a tolerance fast and I couldn't get that sort of level of clear-mindedness again.

I used to get a prescription for Dexedrine. I lied to the shrink about having ADD and she gave it to me upon request.

Ofcourse I went through a bottle in a few days but I was able to stay up for 3 days playing XBOX.

It was fun. The following week was pure hell however.

A very good friend of mine just had her son put on adderall a couple months ago. He went from a rambunctious aggressive kid to a well-behaved mouse almost immediately. He saw his marks get better and his teachers praised his turnaround.

In the next phase however he was taking out knives and threatening to kill himself, talking about how life would be better if he was gone, and withdrawing into himself outside of school. I used to see him a couple times a month and the flat affect he had on the med reminded me of what I used to see in Alzheimer's patients.

Needless to say she got him off the meds immediately before the true damage was done. I guess most adults have more self-control than an 8 year old but why expose yourself to bouts of depression, heart complications, and withdrawl effects? I know a million guys who took this crap when they were in school. Almost none of them do outside of school. That's all I need to know. I will succeed and fail on my own merits and abilities.
