"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

MMA is on the verge of being legalized in the state of New York, but the opposition to it is determined to go out swinging. The unions who hate the UFC have enlisted the feminists to convince everyone that MMA creates violence against women.

"Perverse masculinity" is a disturbing phrase I bolded below. Volumes could be written about those two words. The weirdo-rights groups who have been demanding forever to be regarded as normal are now using "perverse" as a public insult. If you are too masculine, then you are the one who is some kind of weirdo.

“Cage fighting has no place in a civilized society,” said Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee, D-Nyack. “It hurts young people who are brought to believe that human brutality is a spectator sport.”

In January 2012 she wrote a letter to lawmakers criticizing the UFC as contributing to “a culture of violence against women and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people” and saying it could be harmful to young children.

Why, in a state that just enacted tough new legislation addressing the epidemic of domestic assault, would we reverse course and expose our children to the violent misogyny and perverse forms of masculinity that are celebrated in the world of amateur and professional cage fighting?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I don't too much care for boxing, fighting, etc. but these guys go into it willingly. The feminism part is complete crap but I guess I can see the angle about brutality. But there again, many things can be considered brutal: football, rugby, wrestling. I don't see how you draw the line there.

All in all, nothing but an agenda derived for money by the feminists somehow.

I'm all for practicing MMA for self defence and fun.

But not as a commercialised sport.

yes, the Tv matches are bs. If they were full bore, for real, they'd be over with in a very few seconds, with LOTS more kicking and much less grappling.

I watch MMA and practiced martial arts myself (wrestling mostly) and I agree with the fact that they could push our culture toward a more violent side.

However those who become violent due to martial arts are the same guys who are violent themselves by nature thus such sports would just help them to release their anger and frustration in a controlled environment and most of all against those who can strike back.

Making MMA illegal in order to prevent violence its just like ban condoms in order to decrease pre marriage intercourse.

Also wheter those cvnts like it or not there are men which have a concept of masculinity which is different from the mainstream one, and most of all from the polluted one they created.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Believing that watching MMA is going to lead to domestic abuse is the same reasoning that these self righteous pricks are using to ban video games.

That politician sounds like she's just rabble rousing before the election and trying to win votes from the far left. This is how these politicians make names for themselves. Don't be surprised to see politicians going after the NFL soon with the same logic.

How does this track with various arguments for and against traditional boxing?

As far as location, gambling, licensing, etc?

Boxing and kickboxing are legal everywhere, as far as I know. Boxing has been around long enough to gain a more powerful political base. In their infinite wisdom, the states put their boxing commissions in charge of regulating mma, because they already existed. The state commissions are appointed political positions, so they are beacons of corruption. It's career politicians who get appointed to them. Typically these people know very little about boxing and even less about mma. For pro fights, the promoter must pay for the commission to travel to his events and do everything under their close supervision, which might be important if the commission people had a clue about anything. You can see them in the background in the UFC cage between rounds. They will be wearing an ugly suit, have a badge on their tie, and be standing around doing nothing and getting paid for it. That's the difference between a legal event and an illegal fight - the government gets paid.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
