I've been making my own mrps (meal replacement shakes) with 40g of protein powder, oatmeal, bananas, strawberries, yogurt and milk..

I've since found myoplex does the work for me so I've ditched the former for the later. My two questions stem from just starting to use myoplex as well as getting ready to start the exercises listed in "The secret of gaining muscle mass fast" (in three weeks when my Physical therapy for my knee has it strong enough to lift again).

I will stick with this so I want to see how simple I can make it.

Question 1:
I want to mix Myoplex with some udo's choice (EFA liquid) and put them in the fridge for later (for convenience). About how long do mrp shakes last if you mix them? Would this even effect how long it can last in the fridge?

Question 2:
If the above is ok.. then can I go crazy such as adding in servings of L-glutamine, phosphogen HP and possibly extra protein??

Anyone try this?

Yeah well turns out I should have done a bit more googling before I posted. I found several posts online that don't advocate keeping mixed myoplex for long and some specifically stating after mixing they were good for up to 8 hours (assuming refrigeration).

Just to be sure I called EAS and they confirmed this 8 hour window.

As for adding the other things to it.. well I guess that depends on if those other things I want to add are also able to stay stable when mixed together. I'm thinking the udo's choice (since its already a liquid) shouldn't be a problem. Not sure about the others however.

stay well away from anyone/anything claiming this

also commercial MRPs are overly processed and contain inferior proteins and unnecessary carbs like malto - I would stick with your original plan.

Well I went that route because that pdf was recommended in the djbible. I've since learned a good amount from it and I have been lifting on and off for years (guess I wasn't doing it as correctly/efficiently as I thought).

As for the term "fast".. yeah most things with such words in them are just bs sales gimics but this looks like a plan that could work in my mind at least. I also guess fast is a relative term.

For example the ebook states that if I ate 6 meals a day, eat x much protein (has calculations to figure out)..

Actually its pretty similar to this thread:

If I followed those guidelines it claims one can gain 20-30lbs of lean mass in 12 weeks (3 months). Is that realistic to you?

if you are a genetic freak, possibly. in your first YEAR you can expect 30-40lbs muscle gain if you do things correctly (but hardly anyone does things correctly so nobody experiences these gains).. 30lbs in 3 months is not realistic unless you are gifted.

most people can't handle true hard training for 12 weeks a time anyway.
