I am 28 and recently got the number of a 22 yr old undergrad.

I called her on Thursday (second time) and she called me back last night when I was on the train. I told her my stop was coming up and I would call her tomorrow night (which is today).

Well, I see her in the cafeteria tonight it seemed like she was avoiding my eyes. I was like WTF? So she was with her friend and I went up to her. She was not overly friendly, but I would not say she was standoffish (sort of neutral). She did not mention anything about the convo last night on the train. The convo lasted a minute and she walked away with her food and said see you soon.

This is a tough one to read........if she is not interested...why did she call me back in the first place.? I am going to call her one last time tonight...just to give it one last shot.

mahon dude haven't you heard and read that many women just like to flirt and grab our attention without having any intentions of going to bed, or date us?

they are attention *****s, of course she wasn't interested, who knows if this guy isn't doing her? Wouldn't you excuse your friends for a minute or 2 and have a little talk if you WERE INTERESTED in her?

of course you can phone her and set up a date ( there's a wild chance that she's shy and felt uncomfortable with her friend being there ) but imho i dont think so. follow your gut my friend, what is your gut telling you now mate?

What is it with this 'see you soon' or 'talk to you soon' thing that these 21 and 22 year olds have going on.

She wants you to chase her so she can be the envy of her friends.

Same thing happened with me, got her number talked had great convo etc. and she's like talk to you soon. She told me to call again and leave message if not home. I told her she has my number now and could call me too if she wanted.

You're a bit older and this looks good to her friends to be desired by a guy like you. She isn't serious about dating you though. There are much too many *options* her age and afterall she's just having fun ..lol. These girlz, i tell ya ..
