Misunderstood

Hey all! This subject may have been discussed elsewhere so I do apologize. However, my question is this: what in the world am I doing wrong? More specifically, why is it that women seem to shut down around me? I'm having difficulty carrying on a normal conversation, let alone hitting on a girl. It's just so strange...It's as if I have "don't talk to this guy, he's an *******" written on my forehead. I feel I'm friendly and approachable. I'm definitely not ugly. I certainly don't have problems bs'ing with guys. Anyone else experience this? What's the deal?

Dude, honestly I wish I could be more specific. I don't ask questions like that. They bore the hell out of me. I can only imagine what girls feel like when they hear them. Frankly, I'm convinced that it's something in my body language. Just not exactly sure what it is. I go in non-nonchalant like and always get that pffttt attitude or that weird eye look like what's his deal. Mind you, these reactions are before I even say anything. Furthermore, I'm getting them when I'm just trying to have regular conversations with girls in the neighborhood, let alone a girl in a bar that I'm actually interested in.

Talked about it a little with a friend and it was body language. I've been working on smiling as opposed to frowning, hence the reaction I was getting from girls.
