I consider this mission very important because have so many beliefs on "X chicks like Y guys". The idea is to find out if there is really any truth to these stereotypes we hold.

Here is what you must do: Go to a busy mall. The city must have at least 150,000 and at least 500,000 is better. It's shopping season anyway, so no excuses. You can catch a ride with someone, convince a relative to take you, ride a bus, whatever it takes.

Take a pencil and paper and record all the types of people you see together. You don't have to confirm each and every one is definitely dating, this isn't a scientific experiment, we just want to get some kind of overall generalization here. If possible visit malls in different parts of the city for more generalizability. Approximate ages, appearance features, ehtnicity, etc. Be honest, don't just scrablle down things to confirm your own biases. If someone is with you have them keep their own "score" also.

Tally up your results and see what you've found out. If anyone else posts results you should wait until you've done your own survey before reading the results.

Why don't you approach 50 women instead of take notes?

Because most guys won't approach 50 women. So they use excuses like "She's an X and they only like Y guys"

The exercise is designed to remove excuses, not serve as a replacement for approaching. In fact, you can do approaches and the experiment at the same time. There;s no reason not to! To me being a DJ is more than simply doing thousands of approaches though, it's about the ability to think clearly, bring positive emotions to people (especially ourselves), and to be free of negative biases and stereotypes.... a man full of insecurity, negativity, and stereotypes is doomed to a life of misery. When those things are removed, approach inventations and women approaching you will also start to happen IME (although it won't remove the need to approach and engage in conversations).

Different in different parts of the world...

Here in NYC, you'll see EVERY race with EVERY other race...

In my hometown... white with white... and when you DO see a black guy he's by himself lol... except me, i was always with a white girl

Cod3r it's more than just race. Even within races I hear guys do this. Some will say "girls like that only date rich guys" "those are the owners girls" "strippers like biker guys or musicians" "black girls don't want to talk to ghetto guys" -- Yes I heard a black guy say that because he didn't have any luck with 2 black girls I had been flirting with.... I used to buy into some forms of that crap too, then slowly I started having sex with more and more types of women until it started to crumble. But I still had some doubt about just how many different combinations of people end up together until I started working 6-10 hour days at a very busy mall. I had time to really pay attention to things I never noticed before. That's whenever the last piece of the puzzle came together and now I never use excuses like this at all, because I know it is something designed to protect my self-esteem rather than reality.

That is the purpose of the exercise, if you don't have that attitude problem, then you don't need to do the exercise. However, if a guy has time to read posts on sosuave, then I'd venture to say he has time to go into the real world and take an objective look at what's going on out there Hell, one can do shopping while he's there or approach a hottie or both or use a massage chair, damn I love massage chairs!

Even this thread is becomming clogged with excuses, the excuses are what keeps us from obtaining our goals, IMO.

The thing is this tho, enviroment shapes and creates these limiting beliefs. A guy from the deep south where white stays with white, might believe he can't get a white girl because he's black/hispanic/ect.. and vice versa, but me being in NYC I don't have those because I see white girls with hispanic/azn/black guys all day...

It will only work in a socially diverse enviroment... ur asking people to go into the very enviroment that shaped their limiting beliefs... not smart IMO

Yea that's true maybe. But what about big cities like Atlanta, that's why I think at least 500k is best if possible. Are the big cities in the south more diverse as far as this racial stuff goes? I know when I was in Ft. Campbell and again in FL I saw lots of interracial contact (including me LOL), but I am fairly ignorant of the deep south's cities. I've been through Atlanta a few times, and it looks like a pretty good metrolpolitan area, but I am surprised interracial isn't an advantage. In KY it seemed like it was easy for guys to differentiate based on race. I had a lot of success with both white and black chicks, and I saw quite a few black guys who seemed to be tagging white girls on the regular. That was a military area though, maybe that makes a difference.

There is a town near me that's all black, and it's really cool because the women there like meeting and talking to me because I am different. Alas, again, this isn't the deep south so I can't speak from experience.

Deep south dosen't mean FURTHER south, it means Virgina, Deep N/S carolina, Tennesseee ect...

FL is as diverse as they come... I was down for spring break last year with my mentor and lets just say race was NOT a factor, i love spanish mami's ahhh mami !

Cod3r, last time I was in TN it seemed like half the women didn't have a full set of teeth! I don't mean to be rude, but that was my honest observation passing through chatanooga area going down to FL!!! We stopped at some hotels and places to eat and I can honestly say I've never seen so many women without a full set of teeth! I actually got a BJ once from a pretty hot former stripper from Northern TN whose husband was in IRAQ. She told me that she had a secret she kept from me, and then I found out she had FALSE teeth at 29. LOL.

No offense if someone is from TN, but I do send my condolenscenes!
