"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I have a problem that I just can't get over. It's growing on my self-esteem and preventing me from unlocking my full potential.
I'm a sophomore in high school. I'm 6'0 and have a pretty muscular build that makes me stand out from the crowd of average 10th graders. I focus mainly on education, rather than socializing. I'm the type of guy who you'd envision as the outgoing, womanizing jock with many friends. The truth is, I'm pretty much the opposite. After years of emotional abuse I grew a shell around myself, I stood distant from my classmates and accepted the moniker of "that guy over there who never talks".
Recently, in the span of a 2 or so months I was thinking heavily about one girl who I had the previous year. She's my dream girl, my crush, the girl who I could imagine myself with. And as if fate had given me a blessing she appeared in both my first and sixth period classes, about one seat away from me. She had tried to talk to me on numerous occasions, giving me signals that I tried to block out. Looking back now, it's pretty amazing that a girl would go through such lengths just to talk to me. I've already kicked myself way too much over this so there's no need for mourning. Last Friday, she chose, emphasis on chose, to sit next to me during a school function while I just sat there awkwardly, trying my best to ignore her presence.
That was my breaking point- the point where I realized that I should've made a move way earlier.
What should I do? Is there still a chance? Should I talk to her?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Well the first step is to talk to her. Stop ignoring her and the signals she is giving you. If she chose to sit next to you that means she is comfortable with you which is very good. Next time she does sit next to you, start a conversation. Try to find out more about her. One thing that has worked for me is asking what they have planned for the weekend. Most people do their hobbies and sports on the weekend so you will find out what she likes and you can talk to her about how it went the next week. Seriously man, its so simple and once you do it you feel great. The only way you can have a relationship with her is to talk to her. Try to find a common interest between you two and build on it. But like DanZy said, don't get too attached. Meet other girls too so you have options and more friends. Its a long process but you have to break out of your shell if you truly want this girl. I know it can be a little intimidating at first but trust me it gets sooo easy. Keep working and good luck.

There is always a chance. Just on this forum alone, there are a countless number of stories where guys have eventually managed to have sex with their "dream girl"—that is, the girl who drove them to this site in the first place.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
