Yeah... having served in the Army active and reserves for over 25 years. They are not any different than any other woman. But they live and work in a sub-culture that most civilian men don't fully understand.

Most white collar men will not regularly run into women who are active duty in some branch of the US military.

Many years ago, I had a one night stand with a military woman. It was good. I was disappointed that it was only one night as I wanted it to me. I met her in a nightclub with a dance floor and we had a good physical chemistry right away.

I worked with one woman who served (army) and she is super chill and grounded. Another served in the airforce, even got deployed to afghanistan, but she went to graduate school and got ruined by feminist professors and lost all her friends because she turned into a raging bigot.

Over time, I've discovered it's important to for you as the man to lead and to certain what you're looking for with women. Decide your own goals, then find women who fit into those plans.

If you want one night/casual sex type things, then that's easiest to find late nights at bars. Swipe apps can be good for that if you can get past the whole bad ratios thing. Tinder is the place for one night/casual sex but has the worst male/female ratios. Hinge and Bumble try to be more relationship oriented than Tinder. Both of those are sausage fests too.

If you're looking for some sort of extended relationship, weekday Happy Hours at bars, social circles, random events, and non-bar venue approaching are best for this. For most men, this will look like primarily non-bar approaching outdoors (best pandemic era strategy), in grocery stores/other retail establishments, and at gyms/fitness classes. The challenge with this is how you define extended relationship. Do you want marriage and babies? Be careful. As @DEEZEDBRAH says, playing house with Western women is a dangerous thing. However, it is possible to have an extended relationship without marriage, babies, or even moving in together. You can do a committed relationship but let it run its course before those things happen. You can get 2-3 years out of someone with that and enjoy regular sex, companionship, and not have to do approaching. Those are advantages.

Now that women are typically more masculine and got bodied for days, fellas are almost better at coming up for sex from the jump (even if they want more). I like my women feminine, so this would be a hard pass for me. If you want to smash then go for it but I wouldn't recommend a relationship with a trashy masculine woman.
