yeah but now wade is injured. if he doesn't come back, this thing's going to 7 for sure.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

We'll see. I think he'll be fine. I also do expect a game 7 for sure.

I do also laugh at the people that assumed because Detriot beat the Lakers last year, we were doomed.

Lakers didn't have the championship drive last year, their victory over the Spurs was a miracle. Throw in the Kobe trial, bad chemistry between Kobe and Phil Jackson, and just more Kobe Bryant in general, and you have all the reasons they failed.

Heat on the other hand is a different team. Shaq and Wade get along really well, and have good chemistry. Wade is a team player and will not take bad shots in hopes of raising his avg PPG like kobe would, but pass the ball to someone else. Lakers didn't play as a team, Heat does.

Lakers didn't play as a team, Heat does.

Yup. That's about the size of it. The Heat is playing great ball right now, quite unlike the disunited prima donna Lakers of last year. It would be interesting to see how they match up against the Spurs.

I expect the Pistons to put up a massive effort in game 6, and the Heat to take it relatively easily in game 7, sort of like game 2.

The Pistons certainly had one of their lapses in game 5. Another like that, and their season is over. They need more patience on offense. The defense wasn't bad.

The Heat has better shooters, is faster, and is playing with more consistency and focus.

The Heat have played great in their wins

The Pistons have played great in their wins

Will be interesting game 6 IF both teams show up to win.

No question who MVP is!

The contrast between game 5 & game 6 put to rest any doubts as to who is the most valuable player in the series.

I expect game 7 will go as Wade goes. If he doesn't play, I give at least 10-1 odds the Pistons prevail. If Wade is at close to 100%, I give 4-1 odds the Heat takes it. The Pistons better practice flopping to get charging calls on Shaq when he throws his weight around.

The Heat was smart to sit Wade down for game 6, because they're certainly gonna need him in the finals if they do take the series. But if he can outplay his subs come game 7, he should be in there, injured or not.

As much of a Pistons fan as I am, I would hate to see the series decided by an injury to a classy, skillful player...

So it's Spurs vs. Pistons

Pistons made a great effort, and did what they had to do when they had to do it, though it does appear the injury to Wade made the difference. He was definitely no better than about 70%.

It will be interesting to see how the Spurs and Pistons match up. Ginobilli plays like a Piston, but perhaps with more consistent grit and hustle. Duncan is a more skilled and versatile player than Shaq, but I'll be surprised if proves to be as imposing a figure inside against the Pistons. Shaq is just so huge, and takes up so much real estate that he's damn near impossible to defend once he gets the ball. I've seen nobody like that.

It's all about how the teams match up. Could be another very interesting series.
