Met new chick after 4 1/2 year LTR - Feels GOOD!

My buddies gf has been telling me about her girlfriend thats having a hard time with her bf that lives in another city. I guess she did a lot of the work for me bcuz when I met her tonight she seemed like she was feeling me the whole time. I am naturally funny / confident and it seems to have went a long way with her. This chick even paid for my taco bell, I didn't go with them but handed my buddies gf $5 for my two soft tacos. The girl paid for my food and I tried to be nice and fork over the dough and she wouldn't take it. We started drinking and playing poker, she didn't know how to play so I decided I would teach her. At one point I left her alone and started to talking to my buddy and shes pulls me back over to her by grabbing my back pocket. She gets on the phone with her man and says "this isn't going to be pretty" and excuses herself for a bit. I guess she pretty much broke up with the guy right then and there, not sure but their relationship seems very shaky and it looks like shes looking for something else at this point. I knew I had to get her # at this point. When the night came to an end I followed her outside saying that I was leaving to, I told her "give me your phone # and i'll give you a call sometime." She almost seemed like she had to think about it but sure enough gave me her #. I gave her a quick hug and told her to be safe and have a good night.

I did not shower this chick with attention at all and acted quite cool and relaxed the whole night. It feels good to put a new girls # in my cell!! My ex has been out doing her thing and it feels good to be doing mine. I used a lot of humor and joke cracking to liven up the mood the whole time.

My only problem is that I didn't have to leave my comfort zone as I was quite familliar with being around my friends and being myself. I want to have to force myself to leave that comfort zone and talk to chicks I dont know this way I get over that certain fear of meeting new girls without anyones help. I figure I will call her in a week or so and tell her she ought to come hang out with me and we'll go do something.

It seems like her relationship with her bf is on the rocks and just about done. She seems like she is looking for something better at this point and possibly sees that with me. Shes not the hottest chick I ever met but seems like it's definitely a good idea to try and get to her know, especially since I have been struggling with my break up for some time now.

She even commented about how in "control" I was and how that was much better then what she was getting now...hmmmm.

Again it feels real good to be talking to a new girl and I am quite pleased with myself right now. Any advice / comments would be well appreciated, I'm going to bed now as I'm quite drunk!!
