Yup, you’ve read that right: it’s men who created the Matrix! For years I had been struggling with the concept, widely spread in the manosphere, that women created the Matrix in order to exert more power over men. I kept thinking “but women, historically speaking, never had any power! So how can they all of a sudden turn society on its head to the point of controlling men?” It simply didn’t make sense to me.

When I speak of the Matrix, I am not simply referring to the current state of feminized society. I am looking farther back, from the evolution of polygamous societies into monogamous societies. Back then women REALLY had no say in the matter. On the other hand, why would men want to restrict themselves to only one woman, when they could have 10 wives?

This article opened my eyes:

http://www.psychologytoday.com/articles/200706/ten-politically-incorrect-truths-about-human-nature

Here’s the gist of it: in a polygamous society, it is only the alpha males who are having many wives! If you take the generally accepted ratio of 20 alphas for 80 betas, that would mean that 80 out of 100 men would not spread their genes in a polygamous society. Even if the ratio is less extreme, if 50% of the men have 2 wives, it means that the remaining 50% of males have no women available to them! That is still a very harsh ratio.

As the article points out, women in fact benefit in a polygamous society because they can share alphas, even if they are one of many concubines. Most men (the betas), on the other hand, suffer from lack of sex.

When men’s access to sex is so severely restricted, crime rates go up and society as a whole suffers. As civilization evolved, it only made sense to move towards a monogamous model, so that men’s (beta’s) violent impulses could be channeled towards sex, instead of criminal activity.

So betas are happy because they have access to sex, while alphas still have multiple women, albeit only one legitimate wife (just look at all the powerful men in history who had mistresses, the list goes on and on).

This still rings true today. The vast majority of males defend the institution of marriage even though it has been proved over and over to be detrimental to their gender. They give out advice to newly-weds such as “just always say yes to her and you will both live a happy life.” They disapprove of players because they see them as existential threats to their reproductive success. So it’s not just the manginas, as Roissy calls them, who are actively propagating the Matrix, it’s every beta out there, sitting on his couch, playing video games and hoping that the woman of his dreams will somehow fall in his lap…

Actually it was a pair of brothers who created the Matrix movie.

However the writers of the Shadowrun role playing game system created the Matrix.
