"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Men as Beasts of Burden

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

BTW, this guy has a ton of articles about a lot of things in life.
Again, you are a man, and as a man, you are supposed to *work.*

A girl does not necessarily have to work, in fact her natural role is not to work, but rather to nurture the family.

The simple bottom line is this, as a man you have no choice, you have to work, however, you do have power in that you get to choose which girl you will work those long and hard hours to support.

Unfortunately, most guys give away that precious power *to choose* and just jump on any half-decent girl that comes his way. That is a recipe for disaster. Can you imagine working those long and hard hours and coming back home to a worthless girl? Not pleasant

Pretty much.

Here's the thing I find ironic...that the "men" on this forum often assign certain attributes to their idea of a "quality woman", the homemaking skills, cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids, being subservient...yet they don't think they should be required to be the "primary breadwinner".

You can't have it both ways...that's where the problem occurs in the first place.

You either have to have the traditional 50s-style home where the man goes out, works his arse off, and earns the living, and the woman stays home and plays the "good wife", making sure his house and children are the way he wants it when he gets home, his laundry is done, all the little "stuff" is taken care of, and he can just relax...

OR you have the modern household where both parents take turns working, both bring down an income, both handle household chores, and both raise the children.

Either one is OK. "Both" is not.

The problem is that women want it both ways. In those "traditional" households, the MAN's word was LAW. Sure, the woman had a lot of influence and had the right to speak her mind, but men would have NONE of these mind-games. If the man said he didn't want a second or third child, there WAS no second or third child. If the man didn't want to bust ass to get a bigger house, they lived in a smaller house. If the woman didn't like it, she either 1) shut up and dealt with it or 2) moved back in with her mother.

These discussions need to be had BEFORE the decision to marry, or to have kids. It needs to be understood that when maternity-leave runs out, SHE GETS HER ARSE BACK TO WORK, if it's a 2-income household.

This is not a problem with the women...women will be women. They're like children...whatever you give them, they will take. This is an example of men lacking spine.

Listen to this:

I asked Kevin, “Is owning a home important to you?” He replied, “It’s very important to Lisa.” I asked him how he felt about having the second child. He sighed, “Okay, but Lisa really wants it.”
Are you going to blame this on the WOMAN? This man has no balls...he has lost the ability to say "no" to his wife, and when you do that...YES, you become a "slave".

So true. I have noticed lately that men have no inherent value, whereas women have inherent value. E.g., if you're having a party in high school it's automatically cool if you have girls there. They bestow coolness just by being there.

When I am not prospering, I get down about this. I start to become jealous of women because a decent-looking woman can get attention and relationships without having to put any effort in. And most all of us do need that human contact to have a healthy sense of self-worth. In fact a good social support system can even help them to advance in their career and maintain good health.

A man's value is what he makes of himself in this world. No one really needs men for anything, in this day and age. Sorry to be gross, but like spermatazoa, no one cares if millions of them die. Whereas the egg is valuable and everyone tries to get to it.

I'm not a total bitter beta or a misogynist... It's easy to get jealous of women when you're down on your luck. But sometimes I realize it is just that. It is more a reflection of my state of mind than anything to do with women.

Men have a higher ceiling. We can do more, achieve more, and overcome our genetics more in terms of mate selection. And we have a longer window of prosperity. So while it is hard sometimes to overcome a bad upbringing or bad genetics, it really is possible and in fact, it is the only logical option. Giving in to the darkness is not even an option because that would just be shooting oneself in the foot.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

But if she's unlucky and born unattractive, she's triple screwed, and not in the good way. I'm glad to be a guy.

You guys need to get over this. Throughout evolutionary history, and still today in the animal kingdom, males of all species have fought with each other to breed with the best looking and most fertile females. One cannot change millions of years of evolution. Not gonna happen.

Well that's not the way they have done it in India for 5,000 years. In India they have arranged marriages. No fighting involved. You guys would probably call the brahmanas wimps. They are usually very small in stature. They are priests/intellectuals, and the wives they get are very pretty. Of course that system is breaking down now. But your worldview is not nearly as universal as you think it is. There are lots of other examples, but India is just the one I'm most familiar with.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

women are hypocritical because theyre ALLOWED to be. in their minds even if they CHOOSE YOU and they have ALL THE MONEY youre STILL supposed to do all the work. the only way to change this pattern is to take away what you control and they want.
