"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

i am meeting a (a knockout) chick tomorrow at a bar that's like i would say a 1/3rd to 1/2mile walk from her place. this will be our first time going out, should i offer to pick her up at her place because the walk is so far? honestly it doesn't matter to me, i just want to know what to do in this situation. i'm not trying to be afc, just want to be a gentleman.

“The 22 Rules That Turned Me From Invisible to Irresistible With Women… Starting Tonight”

You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

Then I discovered 22 simple rules that rewired my entire dating life. The anxiety vanished. Conversations flowed effortlessly. Women started chasing me for a change.

These rules trigger a woman's subconscious attraction switches. And you can start using them tonight.

1/3~1/2 of a mile isn't far! That's like a 5~8 min walk, unless she's really out of shape.

If she's interested in you, I don't think it matters if you offer or not. Do whatever you feel like, as long as you're not needy and trying hard to get into her panties. If you're a gentleman type, stay congruent to your character.

Forget the picking up situation.....WTF are you doing taking her to a bar on a first date? Unless its like a lounge or mellow place, your putting her amongst the wolves while trying to get to know her better, bad idea!!

Why not do something fun together instead.....mini golf is a good one, anything to bring out some competitive fun in her. This also takes the focus away from just you two and helps you two enjoy each other's company.

If your dead set on the bar, I would have one drink, chill and bounce to a more comfortable location.

PS: It doesn't really matter if you pick her up or not, however usually you should meet the girl at whereever your going for the first couple dates IMO.

Arlington, seriously... why do you worry about this?

It's not AFC to pick her up as long as you don't act like she's a fragile little bird that can't fly herself. It's not AFC to pick her up if you don't expect her to be thankful and rewarding to you because you think you did her a favour.

You worry too much. Stop doing that. Then pick her up like there's nothing to it. Or let her go ther on her own if she prefers that (then you know what time it is a bit already). ;)

And a bar may indeed be a less then optimal location for a first date. But I don't know what bars are like where you are.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Alexander, thanks for the advice. We ended up going out for dinnner last night and drinks. We had a good time and I drove her back home. No kiss or anything at the end of the night, but she wants to hang out again. I don't think she's using me at all because she paid for 1/2 the drinks and even offered to pay her portion of dinner. It was nice that she offered but I didn't take 1/2 the money for dinner. Good conversation, we'll see where it leads.

Man getting women, dating, etc. takes a ton of effort. what a pain. i wish women would just chase me.

It's because a Saturday night out with dinner & drinks is what a couple do together, not two people who hardly know each other do on a first date.

Keep your first dates short & sweet, see if she's worth pursuing, leave her wanting more.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

I always try to pick the girl up. Because then if things go well on the date it opens the door to get invited in to her place after the date.

If she likes the idea of you picking her up, that is an indicator that she wants some sex.
I agree with this 100%, it prevents her from driving and you missing the opportunity to take her home. Its very simple, nothing AFC about it.
