"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I realized something. If i'm at a party with my closest friends and there are girls there, I am not interested in them sexually.
I don't know if it's because they are friends with my friends and i don't want to cause drama, or because i know some guys in my circle who would talk **** about me to those girls because they don't like me.

If i go to a party with people I don't know that well, or a bigger party with lots of new people, it's game on.

Anybody else like this?

I would like to be able to get passed whatever it is that's causing this, because there are some decent girls in the circle sometimes.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

If you're circle doesn't like certain aspects about you, you need to change it. A lot of my circle is well aware I'm what they might call a "player" in fact, they sit back and enjoy the fun. Then again, I like to cause a little havoc :p

Honestly, maybe they just aren't your type. Maybe you could hit on them easier because of your indifference. Maybe it's not as thrilling, who knows?

I think I mostly don't like to do it because it isn't as fun.

There is one guy who seems to show up to every party and i would say he has Histrionic personality disorder (which basically makes him act like a woman).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histrionic_personality_disorder

Anyway, he's always had some issue with me, because at times i've gotten props for doing something "better" than him, and he becomes angry and focuses on proving that wrong. If someone gave my friend a compliment, I would think it's cool, and support him. This guy doesn't feel the same.
This is gonna sound stupid, and it is, but this is what i have to deal with when he's around:
Be at a halloween party (a few years ago), and i show up in a sh!tty, easy "costume." Girl's compliment me on it, because it's cool, original, and i look good.
He is wearing something he probably spent a week making, and for some reason (despite being my "friend") keeps responding with comments like "his costume sucks, it took no effort! Mine is way better!"
I give zero ****s about my costume, and whether any guy thinks it's cool (im just trying to see the slvtty girl costumes). I just don't get why he would act like that, so desperate to be the best person there.

I think he only does this to me, probably because he doesn't respect me, or i'm just one of the few people who doesn't buy into his bullshlt and feed his ego, but it hasn't stopped.
If anyone says anything nice about me, even slightly, he will find something bad to say about me: "yea but he has a bad drug problem" which I actually heard him say, when he thought i was out of range (also so far from reality).

And it makes it worse, because he's friendly towards me. When he tells people stuff about me it's always in a concerned tone, like he's worried about me.

I don't really care about having a lot of friends, and I don't need them to enjoy my life, but i have some good, close friends, and all i want to do is see everyone succeed and have a good time.

Anyway, if it seems like i got off topic, i didn't. It's not fun to hit on girls that he knows, because he will find a way to influence them somehow, whether it's before or after.

I've never really figured out how to deal with this guy. I'm not gonna talk shlt about him to other people, but it seems like he's always there to **** block me.

I don't know. Anybody experience somebody like that?

Solution: make yourself the centre of the party, the guy "to know."
Walk up and talk to randoms, even guys and ****, get their back stories and stuff.

It's fun to watch other people's opinions become worthless when you hold the most power within the room.

I agree with nrough, just ignore the dude and disregard the fact that he's even there. If you catch him saying something tell him to "Shut the f@ck up" or something, let him know that you're not going to back down. I don't care if he's being "Friendly" about it. Try to turn the tables on him. Also, this is kind of off topic but are you by any chance bigger than he is? Or better looking? He might have a case of Napoleon Syndrome. Or the only way he can get on your level is by belittling you. If he doesn't back down and it escalates, be prepared to settle it in fisticuffs.

“The 22 Rules That Turned Me From Invisible to Irresistible With Women… Starting Tonight”

You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

Then I discovered 22 simple rules that rewired my entire dating life. The anxiety vanished. Conversations flowed effortlessly. Women started chasing me for a change.

These rules trigger a woman's subconscious attraction switches. And you can start using them tonight.

All I'm saying is you need to stick up for yourself whether he's your friend or not, you don't want him making you look bad in front of girls.

The biggest problem is he operates behind the scenes.
He talks about me when i'm not there, like a female.

He knows if started he lying about me me when i could hear him he would get called out. And in situations when he says stuff like "My clothes are way more expensive than his" how am I supposed to call him out on that? My mindset is that people should just notice how ridiculous he's being, but it doesn't seem like they do.

I am bigger than him, and i'd say we are both attractive but he puts a ton of work into his appearance and I don't. He fishes for compliments and talks about how cool his clothes are ETC.

If it was as simple as me telling him to shut the fvck up there would be no issues. I'm just not sure how to handle it, because he seems to have a lot of influence on people.

I get where you're coming from, but you need to man up or he's just going to keep doing it. Idk how you should go about doing this, because I don't really Know the situation. Just keep doing you and hitting on girls like you don't care. Think of sarcastic ways to cancel out his comments, if he throws something at you throw something right back, I mean that metaphorically. How do you know what he says if it is behind the scenes?

Also try and distance yourself from him, and go out with other friends. Hang out with the girls without him.

What kind of limp wristed fvckery is this? Is this some story lifted off of a "Mean Girls" script you're working on or are you and your friend chicks? You 23 cuz? This sounds like some schoolgirl nonsense at a Sweet 16. "My friend talks behind my back about my outfit and Halloween costume and everyone is influenced by her. I just KNOW it!" "She thinks she's the prettiest thing at the Harvest Moon Ball!"

If a anyone goes out of their way to talk about you who cares? You laugh about it. If people are dopey enough to believe it then why care about them either? Normal people would look at that person like a jealous nancy boy who obviously has some insecurities and if his friend (you) show you're effected by it they'd think you both were a couple of emo twinks. Sorry bro. I'm not buying this thread. The estrogen levels are off the charts in your topic.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Hey Ninja, thanks for the honest feedback.
I was waiting for someone to accuse me of being a faggot because of how ridiculous it is.
I admit that it seems like some highschool BS, especially because that's what it feels like.
Yes i'm 23. This guys been around since high school, and while i've moved, graduated from college, and came back, he's done nothing.
He's always there, in the same place he was at 17.

I don't give a **** that he didn't approve of my halloween costume hahaha. I think it's funny he cares about that stuff, because like you said, we aren't sixteen. Even though i didn't ever care about my halloween costumes, but yea...

He doesn't want me to succeed because he can't succeed himself.
I made this thread because i wanted to know if anyone else found it easier to hit on girls around people they didn't know, then started thinking about why I was like that, and it ended up with pretty much this guys negative impact towards my social circle.

Clearly i just need to find a way to deal with it, and i'm looking forward to the next party so i can get the girl he wants, but can't get.

yea.. fck this.

When you are successful or right, everyone will learn to hate you.
Those of us who stand above the rest are those who take it in our pride - when we drag our opinion somewhere, we make it known.
There are those who weaken at the sight of an enemy, and those who vow to destroy it with their own hands.
