I met a girl on myspace, we've been talking on AIM a bit* and she's really interested. She wants me to go to her swim meet against my school this week. Our school isn't too big on sports (other than football), so it's not like I can go to the meet with my friends. Her parents would probably be there watching her too, so that would be weird.

I told her that I might not be able to go, but that she should go to the mall with me and my friends this friday. She said she had swim practice, but would see what she could do to get out of it.

Should I meet her at the swim meet, or possibly meet her friday?

* Yeah, I know. "Blah blah AIM means nothing blah blah". It's no different then any other means of communications. It seems weird when you ask a completely unknown girl her number via MySpace.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

meet her before the swim meet. As in a day or more before. I wouldn't even go watch her. That is a complete waste of time. Agree that you'd be willing to meet her after the meet somewhere else though.

Whatever you do, do not go see the meet.

If you can't get one of your friends to go to the swim meet with you, I would find something else to do. If she can't go to the mall with you on friday, then find some other girl/s at the mall to hang out with.

Problem with meeting before/after the meet is getting a ride. We're both 15, so we don't have our licenses yet. If she can't go to the mall, I definently will find another girl to go with.
