Look at this commercial from lacoste, this attitude that is intended to seem romantic on a advertisement, is the behavior that will kill your chances with most sexy girls (or even most girls).

The guy kisses her with tremendous fear on his eyes. This is exactly the attitude that I've changed in myself, one of the key ingredients to bed sexy ladies is to not fear them. Which may seem very difficult at the beginning..

I wouldn't say the media was 'betasing' men...if you're a 'beta' then you're a 'beta' T.V. Shows and adverts aren't going to change that.

There is, has been and always will be sh*t like this in the media, whether it be sitcoms, adverts or in the news and we don't need to make a thread for every one of them.

The title was perhaps not very well posted. Still, I honestly don't know how influent these advertisements, music, movies etc. can be. But the image that is passed is just ridiculous, no man should behave like this.

This is in clear opposition with most music about how women don't need a man and stuff like that.

Not entirely true.

As a man, we are more prone to logic and many studies show that people are influenced by actions they see. The old monkey-see monkey-do bit, etc,...
The fact is neither of us behave that way, and this has been happening for a LONG time so it isn't news any more.

However this particular advert does irritate me.

if the media were not an influencing form of medium then they would not be in existance.

much of newspapers report only a fraction of what goes on in the everyday world but we only know the news they report. they help shape the cultural world we live in.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Multiply this commercial by the hundreds, if not thousands and yes, it is quite influential.

We aren't all at the same level of development. There is a constant influx of boys/men who have no idea they're being indoctrinated. I think it's healthy to keep things like this at the forefront. Men who are "aware" are in the minority. The rest will conform to whatever the status quo is and be ruled by any and all things PC, to their detriment.

America is best
This has beeing going on since they started teaching us a feminine perspective on love. Disney movies, romantic comedies, movies.

We have this stuff all around us as kids as we are learning basic concepts. This isn't anything new.

Whether you want to admit it or not, the media is one of the most influential things.

When your young the media, family, friends, and school influences you. The media influences your friends and your family, they influence you.
