What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I don't believe it's become the "norm" of the modern day woman it's ALWAYS been this way...and also, why is it a "breath of fresh factual air"?

Did women act like this back when our grandfathers and greatfathers?

The "breath of fresh factual air" you referenced in my OP refers to the bottom of the barrel media actually writing something other than "women want nice guys".

A spate of studies, including a small one in 2012 by psychologist Kristina Durante called “Ovulation Leads Women to Perceive Sexy Cads as Good Dads,” have found hormones to blame for putting looks and edgy charisma over niceness and reliability.

Younger woman have higher hormone levels. After age 30, as ability to conceive a child drops off, so do hormone levels.

And that's why I keep being so disgusted with the choices in men made by women my age. "Nice and reliable" sounds like an old car or a house pet. I've never been reliable, and I'm not all that nice.
