Seems like the Mayans were more spot on predicting something like corona would happen. According to their legends first was a destruction by storms. Then we get hit by a plague. Before our total destruction. Their calendar seems to run out by 2024. Time to stock up on some more on sale pasta. Before famine lol

I really hope nothing bad happens, Im too young to die and too old to face it.

Would be great 10 years from now so we have some more time to fvck it up and then welcome the end once we will be too old to have a decent life style.

Why weren't the Mayans able to predict the arrival of the Spaniards....????...
They were only concerned with major galactic events, not minor troubles in the hood…
Probably the result of some extremely high T thinking.

I was into the 2012 hype back in the day. I watched the movie "Knowing" 2009, and "2012" 2009, and between 2009 - 2012 was really into this. Remember those days nostalgically and missed the "end of the world" scenario. The last time there was any hype was with Hurricane Maria and Ivan back in 2017 and the Solar Eclipse. Remember the four blood moons were a big thing back then and I watched all of the Left Behind series movies that year and was so totally into that. Then things got quiet up to this year.

However, there is a new one. Another pastor has predicted the end will happen once covid19 is out of the way and society is relaxed again. The Bible talks to the days of Noah of a time where people were eating and drinking and given in marriage, and those days sound like social gatherings at close distances will eventually take place again.

This is a time for people to contemplate and reflect upon their paused lives. It's a warning shot for the real one afterwards.

All pre-industrial societies ended the same way.

War.

Plague.

Famine.

All predictions are based on hindsight.

But no pre-industrial societies had movies that depicted them on a screen.

Hopefully people are contemplating how much debt they have, and how little money they've saved.

So when they (hopefully) get back to work, they'll be much more careful about how they spend their money.

Pretty much every ancient civilization has stories abt the end of days, nothing new there.

But humans has always managed to somehow survive everything that's been thrown their way and rebuild.

It's how we were built, the most efficient and yet sometimes destructive species in the world.

WTF was I even thinking?

Experts have raised the possibility that nobody will go on cruises anymore, that the "one-meeting" business trip will become a thing of the past, and traveling abroad for brief vacations might also become far less common.

But as valid as they seem, there's also reason to believe these concerns might be misplaced.

To wit: as BI notes, despite the staggering negligence of management and maddening 14-day quarantines endured by passengers - not to mention the dozens who have died and hundreds who have been sickened -
reservations on American cruise lines have actually climbed for 2021.

For those wondering why Americans might want to go on a cruise after all of this, we have two ideas: 1) lower prices, 2) many Americans are idiots

Looked into this for ss and pandemic purposes.
1929-1932 was an economic crises that affected the world. Expect things to repeat and for what is going on to last exactly that 3 years of consequences. Considering most of our leaders are following an echoeing History that does repeat itself...

We're built on capitalism. Yet we have so much that doesn't help us with what happens after capitalism.

Well we all had communism, socialism and some other kind of weird attempt to subvert capitalism, they all failed in the end.

Looks like capitalism is here to stay.

Well with current drought in California. History channel has secured more docs on christendoms Calendar, nostrodamus, and Atlantis on new findings. Atlantis video on youtube made like 10,000 comments. Viewership on programs like mystery of southern Ireland has gone down. With certain meat shortages and people in Africa being dangerously close to famine. Anyone else have new info to share on a predicted outcome for next five years? Possibly change on doomsday clock 5 minutes to midnight...

Well there's a sucker born every minute. Big Foot docs also get a lot of traction.

As far as the Mayans, they never even came up with the concept of the wheel. I wouldn't trust them to make Super Bowl or end of world* predictions.

We might blow ourselves up with nukes though, you never know.

*The world will still be here. We might not be.

We do have something we can get from ancient times. Quinoa which goes back to pre-christendom. One thing for sure an alternative to current meat shortage was protein pasta. If you alternate to Quinoa you don't make the mistake of white pasta or rice. Colorado even a state right now? I'm from Ny buddy if Californians can't even figure out their water situation. I can sure as figure out to move to France with a passport I had since 90's... Alway have a plan b so suavers. Especial when posters like Desdinova bring the site down to slums in Mature section. Gwyenyth will be laughing all the way to the bank.
