In a lawsuit, the government agency contended that the dating site tried to dupe hundreds of thousands of consumers into buying dating subscriptions.

“We believe that Match.com conned people into paying for subscriptions via messages the company knew were from scammers,” Andrew Smith, the director of the trade commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, said in a statement.

Sounds like I'm due a refund or crumbs from a class action lawsuit since I was dumb enough to give them money for their crappy subscription back in 2014 or 2015.
