Is there a thread that someone knows of regarding sites like Match?

I have been using them a lot, with a pretty good amount of success. But I bet there's a good thread around here somewhere that would help me tighten my game a bit, as it relates to online dating.

Truth be told... I've had some awesome success with Match.com. I can also see how this could sabotage my efforts to overcome my AFC past. Match takes away the "heavy-lifting" of cold-approaching girls in bars and coffee shops.

I guess what I'm saying.... Is that now I'm less willing to approach a HB at a bar and risk embarassment, when I know I can get (and bed) a girl just as hot online.

Match can be a little addictive for me since it's become a surefire method for getting laid.

Depends where you live. In my area, it seems like the same 20 or so girls come up and they have been on there for 3-4 years.

If you are into black and mixed chicks. Try blackpeoplemeet.com. It's only 9.95 a month, you don't have to go through the hassle of terminating your membership when you are through and they have some decent selections, although there are quite a few "ringers" mixed in.

What do you say in your emails to them? The women that I go out with from Match say that they usually delete the majority of the emails they get because of what the guy says. Also, very few respond to just a wink.

I've had some initial success with Match. A good way to get bites on match is to contact women that have looked at your profile.

I also try to write something to them that isn't the usual "you seem cool let's hang out" kind of thing.

Match has actually been very good to me, at least for getting a first date. Maybe I'll post a thread on some of the reasons why it's worked so well, I think I have the 'getting them to meet up' part down to a science. I use it like a CRM, if anyone is familiar with that.

My problem is getting a second date, my game really needs some fine tuning. Which is why I'm doing some searches on these threads & forums to see if there are differences and special things to beware of when meeting women from Match or eHarmony, etc (it seems there are).

Match is a pay-to-read-your-emails site. A lot of people have the free account and won't pay to read notes from guys that don't have pics up or pics that aren't that good.

same problem here, exactly. According to the other thread we are just supposed to ask them if they want to come over and have sex with us(implied sex). That would be great if it were really that easy, but I have a difficult time believing it is given womens insecurities and rape fear, etc.

You don't want to deal with those women anyway. The women (and men for that matter) who are serious about meeting people on Match will actually subscribe. The ones who don't want to pay and just want the attention will more than likely hang out on one of the social networks.
