Its a video because it also records the time period. For example if you notice around 1991 Russia almost completely stops nuclear testing. This coincides with a real life event say like the fall of the Soviet Union? You would need multiple pictures to illustrate different events through time so a video is just simpler. Also the big red dot in Russia I think was the Tsar bomba

And then in the early 90's the indian subcontinent starts lighting up correlating with India and Pakistan doing nuclear tests within weeks of each other.

It's actually a very telling video, just not one really fit for a seduction forum.
