Man, being sick sucks.

Yeah, being sick and having to go to school sucks. I don't have a cold or anything yet, but I have this annoying sickness that makes a bunch of mucus and **** that taste terrible and makes your throat sore and whenever you try to swallow something, if feels different. It sucks being sick and my day isn't even over yet, I have to go to band practice, now band practice is usually fun, but when you have a bunch of **** in your throat, that makes it feel dry and nasty, its hell. Sure, this sickness isn't as bad as having a full blown cold, but it just feels really nasty around your throat and it gets very annoying and bothers me very much. This sickness just makes me feel very down and makes everyday things harder for me, plus I have to walk around with this **** in my mouth all day long.

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
