Male circumcision

From reading these boards and other ones mainly populated by Americans, I've noticed that a great deal of Americans get circumcised at a young age and American girls actually have a preference regarding whether their partner is 'cut' or 'uncut'. This seems to be a uniquely American phenomena. Circumcision here (and the rest of Europe) is not automatically done on male infants, and girls couldn't give a hoot whether their partners have it done or not. Although, girls who prefer cut are slashing the number of available partners by around 90% (only around 10% of young males here are circumcised - and that is for medical reasons rather than because it is a norm or for societal reasons). I'm uncut and love it. Couldn't see why anyone would rather be cut (unless, apparently, they are an American male where is seems to be required by females).

So, I ask the Americans here, is this as big an issue as I seem to think it is? Would most American girls react with disgust if I they were to see my uncut British penis?

PlasticSurgeon, what the hell is this smegma **** they keep talking about here? I've never ever seen anything build up under there. Are there so few uncut guys in the US that doctors forget what they're dealing with or something?

Smack, keep it clean and you should be okay. Canada is about half way between Europe and the US, if Europe is almost totally uncut and the US is almost every guy is cut, Canada is roughly 50/50. So far I haven't gotten any complaints.

In all honesty if you meet an American girl you could probably not mention it and get away with her not even knowing anything is different, I've had girls not notice (one LTR didn't know for several months of seeing it in well lit areas up cloase, and she had seen cut ones before, so goes to show you how small a deal it really is.)

To see a girl cringe, tell her if she wants you to be cut, you want her **** hood circumcised off. I bet she won't be too keen on that, but exactly the same arguements can be made. Smegma can collect under the **** hood so i'd be more hygenic, the hood and **** are analogous to the foreskin and head, so it'd be more hygenic if they use that arguement for foreskin and say you think it looks better.

The double standard is pathetic. And no, don't say female circumcision is different because it's done with a different purpose of depriving females of pleasure. I'm not saying cut the **** itself off, just the protective skin around it, so its exactly the female version of the procedure.

I'm cut and I love it. I keep hearing all these stories about how guys have to do lots of extra work in cleaning their tool and if they don't they can have gunk building up inside. From what I've read being uncut is just a bother with no benifits.

For me, I just wash it like I wash it like every other part giving it no special attention. Frankly I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

To be honest, keeping my uncut penis clean is easy. Just pull the foreskin back when you shower/bath and wash under it. I only got smegma a few times, and all were after I had wanked and not had time to properly clean it up. This American nonsense about smegma leading to cancer and that there is nothing good about being uncut is just that, nonsense.

Guys you should do some research. All this crap about it being unclean and causing cancer is social conditioning and old wives tales! I'm uncut and it takes about 2 seconds to clean. What do you think we have to get a toothbrush and give it a 5 minute scrub? You just peel in back in the shower, and I don't get ****loads of gunk build up.

In lots of places it's getting banned apart from for religous reasons because it is seen as unnecesary. I'm not saying it's bad to be cut, I'm just trying to clear up all of these false misconceptions. The act of getting cut stems from religion, it has no scientific or medical purpose. So really the only reason I can think of is because 'girls prefer it', which is probably only because they are used to cut so don't know what to do with uncut. I'll keep my sensativity thanks.

Hell anyway whatever your grow up with you are not going to know any different.

^You're right. There's nothing good about being uncut. Unless you count the extremely minor benefits like how the extra skin gives you more friction and thus more pleasure. Those effects are almost non noticeable.

You don't know that he's right. You don't know that there's nothing good about being uncut. You're simply frustrated right now because your skin is stuck to your head.

How old are you? If you're still (relatively) young (under 20), then it's not too late. Put your d!ck in some warm water, let it sit there for a minute, then start pulling back the skin. Endure the pain, because there's no other way. If you feel real brave, but also wanna suffer the least in the long run, pull it back HARD. You won't rip anything, it'll just get unglued. It'll hurt like a mofo for a few minutes, but you'll be free afterwards FOR LIFE.

If you wanna take the puzzy way out though, you can always go to a doctor, get pain killers, and have your skin amputated. Just know that character is built through pain, not through medical numbness.

Be a man. Take it like a man. Keep your skin.

That makes no sense... you don't grow bigger if you have the skin there. Maybe the person meant the extra skin on the end of your **** and that adds a little bit of length and width but barely any.

I'm not saying it grows. I'm saying people have told me 'statisticly' guys with uncircumsized d!cks have bigger ones.

The actual head, the part under the skin, that never gets touched by anything so it takes forever to get used to touching underwear and my hand. You don't understand though. I can't pull it back further at all, even in the shower full of warm water. There are veins and **** connecting the skin somehow, there's no way I could pull it back all the way. The only time I got a handjob the girl said "is that okay?" and I had to tell her to go lower it hurt so bad, and I'm pretty sure there's no way to have sex. Oh well, at least there's making out.

You don't know enough about the surgery procedure if you think it involves no pain. When you wake up you're not on any painkillers and I've heard someone use the term "pissing razor blades" as an accurate description of this feeling. Not to mention the few weeks it takes to get used to it, probably look funny walking around and you can't stroke your tool obviously.

The foreskin is there to protect your penis. By doing that, it (as you've noticed) heightens your sensations on the head. It also looks pretty damn cool when you can have it both hidden and shown

Anyways up to serious work. How much can you actually move the foreskin? Can you move it at all? You say that your head is so sensitive for now that it hurts when you barely touch it? Think of how it will be if you don't have ANYTHING to protect it.

Try something: I'm guessing that your foreskin is a little loose when you're completely floppy. Pull it from the front (where the opening is) away from your body. You want to make it longer. Once you pulled it a bit, try to spread the opening with your fingers (think relaxing the opening of a balloon you're about to blow into). After you've got it spread a little, pull it in different directions (up, down, left, right). This WILL hurt because your body isn't used to it, and your skin is now "glued" to your head. But you won't lose skin, you won't break your penis, it'll be all right even though it'll hurt a bit. Try to do this every day, a few times a day, and you'll see some results.

After the opening becomes a bit wider, you'll probably be able to pull it back a bit more. Get some baby oil and put some on (what you can see of) your head, and let it rest there for a few minutes at a time (maybe do this in the shower). That'll lube you up a little. Then, try to pull the skin back more and more.

Also, check out the following link. This problem is relatively common because young children aren't told to retract their skins, and by the time they want to, it's become stuck and glued.
