I found an interesting review of a book that i am planning to buy. The youtube video link is above. This link got me thinking about male promiscuity and how much it is shamed.
Male promiscuity is a natural male imperative. Hypergamy and resource acquisition is the natural female imperative. How come male promiscuity is shamed and female hypergamy is not?
In a marriage, the female imperative is fulfilled. She gets resources for herself and her offspring from a provider. But what about the male imperative of promiscuity? How come that is shamed?
Most culture outside of the USA recognize the hypocrisy of this double standard. They allow men to have a little "side piece" as long as he was fulfilling the feminine imperative of taking good care of the family financially. I remember going to France on a family vacation as a kid during the Monica Lewinsky/ Bill Clinton trial. European's thought it was amusing that we expected our powerful leaders not to have extra marital affairs. Its not taboo in other parts of the world. In fact polygamy is routinely practiced in ancient Christian and Islamic traditions. They call it polygamy to legitimize it but its really just male promiscuity.
My point is that if you are a high value enough man then women will readily accept you having sex with other women. This is how it was for most of human history. Its just becuz we live in a highly feminized society that men are demonized for being polygamous and women are not demonized for wanting to marry a gorgeous rich CEO. Men in this society are not valued very highly so women are able to shove this nonsense down our throats.
A poster once had the signature saying " women want one man to fulfill every need but men want every women to fulfil his one need". The first part of that quote is accepted in this society but the second part is not.
