Sorry if this is a repeat thread, I looked briefly and didn't see any prior.
So the hottest show on Netflix has been making the rounds for a month now, and anyone who has seen this show now knows the kind of gross, corrupt and flat out evil this police department of Manitowoc County (and the state of Wisconsin at large) is capable of.
And if you're skeptical of the show, let me clarify something..
I lived in Manitowoc county on and off for a decade while I was a student at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and still have family there. Every accusation of misconduct being hurled at these people is true, and it is NOT confined to the Avery case. I saw it first hand happen to people I know, and their lives were ruined by it. A few of the people you see on that tape speaking on behalf of the prosecution I've actually met before, and these people wouldn't hesitate to throw you or your mother behind bars if it meant a quick buck. These individuals should be in jail for what they've done, not running a local government and getting promotions.
Fortunately, a petition formed shortly after New Years that has 46,000 signatures now, but it requires 100,000 by February 6 in order to make it to the White House.
It's time for some checks and balances within the country who jails more citizens than any other on the planet. There are undoubtedly tens or hundreds of thousands among our 2.2 million in prison who are innocent and who are desperate for help.
If you need to see for yourself, I encourage you to watch the show first. Then consider signing here so these domestic white-collar terrorists may be brought to justice. And please consider sharing.
