"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

I've worked with this girl for about a year and I just decided to take the chance and ask her out and I got her number. I know the whole work thing has huge pit falls but I am the business office manager of a nursing home so I am surrounded by women, like 4/1 ratio, and I'm very selective about the ones I'll ask out. Anyways she is busy working two jobs and goes to school which was actually what got my attention as she seems to be doing something with her life. So she is super busy and I'm hoping that's the problem but I've texted her twice and she responds but fades away so I haven't nailed down a date; she happened to be at work both times but didn't follow up with me when she wasn't. I'm just thinking that if I misread her I need to just let it go since it is at work but if she is just busy, and this is finals week, then no problem and she is taking the summer off from classes.

We've been friendly since she started but here lately I've been a little more friendly and she's making comments that seem to be giving me the green light so I went for it. A week ago I was saying something to her about being so busy with school/work and she says blah blah blah but I still go out... A few days later I was giving her crap about cutting her hair and she said something like you can cut it for me... And then the other day I was thinking about asking her out as I was leaving so I struck up a conversation but then she got busy with a resident so I started to walk away and she was like oh are you leaving so I kept up the conversation and that's when I asked her out. One thing I found odd was that when I asked for her number she said don't I have it already and she did give it to me in a work context a while back but I didn't save it so I just said I'm not a stalker. That had me wondering if she expected me to call a long time ago.

I already know this is asking for problems doing this at work so don't focus on that issue alone. Should I attribute her not being as responsive as I would like to low interest or being busy? If it is just busy then she is not taking classes this summer, after this week, so how should I proceed and increase interest?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Why are you over-analyzing so much already? Don't invest so much of your energy into a prospect. Overanalyzing is never good, but especially when nothing has happened.

Sub-consciously this causes you to give her more value than she truly deserves and makes you into more of a chump.

Spend your time meeting multiple women, working them all at the same time. What will result is a more laid back attitude & you enjoying the women who are interested and more likely to chase you. As a side effect, you'll notice the ones who aren't as interested, will warm up when they don't see you chasing or acting like a chump.
