Lost her number

I was walking into work this morning. I usually walk about 8 blocks or so, and on the way I met a pretty hot girl also walking to work. I chatted her up a bit, and before we parted, I got her number. But here is the problem, after she entered the number in my phone, I closed it and forgot to save it. I did not realize this until a few minutes later and she was long gone. Usually I am on top of this stuff, but in the morning my brain was not firing on all cylinders.

Here is the thing, she only walked to day because her car had been towed last night, so I probably wont be seeing her walking anymore.

So tell me if this is creepy or not. I think I know which apartment she lives in, so should I stop by after work and tell her I lost her number?

I know it looks like a desperate move, but I have one plate which is slipping, and the other girl I tried to work on did not work out (see my thread "Friend-zoning Her").

I would just try to "coincidentally" run into her again somewhere and take another shot at it.

Not a good move to show up where she lives. You might want to orchestrate bumping into her around where she lives as you walk your dog or are jogging. Give it a few shots and if you don't see her just find a new one. I've done this too before and it really annoys me to no end.

Exactly Don Wa. Trust me we all have made a blunder like this at one point in our gaming lives.

Definitely don't go to her apartment... but see if you can "accidentally" run near it on the block..... Just make sure you have an excuse handy as to why you are there.

Yeah, going to her house does seem a little creepy. Maybe she will have to walk again tomorrow if she doesnt get her car back, and then I might see her again.

Just so f'n annoying that a stupid little thing like not saving the number...man. The funny thing is I usually have a small pencil and paper in my pocket for miscellaneous things, and that is where I usually have girls write their number. Not today though, good timing I guess.

Adding #'s to your "phonebook" on the spot has its' problems, as you found out.
A better way is to give her your cell # and tell her to send you an instant text msg on the spot with her NAME as the message. Her # is then automatically stored in "Inbox" or "Received", and her name is right there in the message if you have a poor memory (like mine).

LOL. The downside is not so much coming across as a creep as possibly coming across as lame. However, if she's younger and into the whole social networking thing, she may be receptive. If she's not understanding of him mistakingly losing the number, she probably isn't worth the number anyway.

Next time when you get a number, just hit the call button thus not only will it be memorized on the call list but also she will have it too (also if you don't hear a ring coming out from her purse then it means she might have given you a fake number).

Because you lost her number, any other means of getting in touch with her (finding out where she lives or finding her on facebook) might seem creepy but she has already agreed to give you her number so if you explain that you accidently didn't save it, it won't be so creepy (you got game right?! so iron this mishap out in the best way you can). Its better to do something and give it a shot then just throwing your hands up in the air and giving up so early especially at this stage.

I dont think I will stop by her house. The more I think about it, I would not advise a friend to do that, so why should I do it.

I do have one more option. She is a student at the University here, and there is a people search tool. I can search for her by first name, and if she has her number and address available I may be able to figure it out. The only problem is I dont know her whole first name, for example, if a gril says hre name is Christy, it may be just that, or that may be short for Christina or something else. Her name is one that can be short for at least two other names, and each one can have multiple spellings. Just seems like a lot. The other problem is I just feel kind of dirty stalking up on a chick like that.

In the meantime, I will just keep walking my route at the same time as I usually do and maybe see her again.
