@BPH wtf man?... I'm gonna go on a limb here and say that hot women dump you all the time.
This is exactly what I am talking bout. BPH is making mistakes, but also does some things right. The decent thing to do is try and help him, instead you just hurl insults at him. People behave this way because they want to drag others down to their level. You just make things worse.

The Western world is brutal for good men wanting to date decent women. Instead of making things worse, why don't you support men who are struggling?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

This proves mi point, why do get attached to women like that? I am telling you what I can see from the outside. This is the root of your problems.
I don't. Everybody has problems. By comparison, I have very few; I don't have any diseases, ailments, or disabilities. I was not abused, traumatized, or part of a dysfunctional family. I don't have any addictions or drug habits, and the only medication I take is a multivitamin. My problem is my financial and living situation - hers is her health and mental outlook. I don't expect anyone to be perfect.

This proves my point agin. The women you most fvck might be hot but more important psychological healthy, that's why you don't CARE for them, cause you love the hot and with psychological problems, therefore you start to care. How can you not see this man?
I have a friend who asked me a similar question. He knows I get around a lot and asked me why, instead of going for hot girls, I don't go for girls with great personalities. He's married, so here was my response to him: "If you could have your wife's personality in the body of Jessica Alba or the body of Rosie O'Donnell, which would you choose?" He couldn't answer my question because he didn't want to prove my point. That point is that I meet women I'm attracted to, then keep them around if I like them on the back-end - I'm not hunting for girls I'm not attracted to in the hopes that because they're not attractive they must have a great personality.

What age with this? I imagine this hurt a lot, you were inexperienced, chose the wrong women and your brain since then think that a woman who behaves like your first is the one you will love.

How was your first girl, the one who cheated on you? I imagine she's a nobody now since she must be physiological damaged.
I met this girl my senior year of college while she was a sophomore or junior; I can't remember. We met during the last half of my senior year, so we didn't get a lot of time together in school, but we kept seeing each other afterward because we were having a good time and decided that despite the distance and the fact that she was still in school that we could make it work. For context, she transferred back home to attend a school in New York, so it was a 4-hour drive any time I wanted to see her, so that was usually a once-monthly thing.

The way that ended left a bit of a scar wherein I don't ever fully trust women, further reinforced by my BPD ex. I was feeling depressed for a few months because I didn't know the truth and blamed myself; I should have been there, I should be there now, etc. A mutual friend who followed her on socials found out that was a lie and told me - I didn't know because I was blocked on everything after that. One random night in March at like 3 AM, she texts me to confess, probably assuming I wouldn't be awake. I told her I knew everything, cursed her out, blocked her, and haven't spoken to or seen her since.

Not every woman has all the problems of this girl and my BPD ex. My second serious relationship was quite nice. She was a wonderful girl, super sweet. The only reason that didn't work out was because she wanted to go wherever I went and end up married together. I was maybe 23 or 24 at this point and wasn't nearly ready for that commitment, so when I found out that's where her head was at, I felt like I needed to end it so she could meet somebody who wanted the same things she did. And that's what happened - she's married now and still on good terms with me. Sometimes, she even catches up with my mom over the phone.

And a man who can't allow his ego to "lose".
What ego? Probably half of this thread is me acknowledging and admitting that I'm wrong for wanting to do the things I listed here.

Just wanted to provide a little update for @Sega Genesis and @BeExcellent since you two provided a lot of insight and seemed at least a little invested in the outcome here.

So my birthday was Sunday, I was out Saturday night, and made some posts to my Instagram story whenever a friend tagged me wishing me Happy Birthday and had a picture or video of me saved.

This girl saw those posts. Still hasn't read my message or my card. Still hasn't wished me happy birthday. Still hasn't responded in over a month. But she DID decide to repost 2 Instagram reels about losing a cat, and missing your cat.

So I'm quite disappointed in how that turned out and will no longer be giving her or this situation any more of my attention or care.

Hey @BPH, appreciate the update. I was wondering about it but figured you'd post if/when ready to.

Sorry things didn't work out. You took a risk that didn't go your way; disappointing for sure but life goes on and all that blah blah...

I am curious though how you know she hasn't read the card? Not that it matters at this point, just wondering how you would know that.

Anyway again I'm sorry man...

Technically I don't, but I'd have a hard time believing that wouldn't have elicited some response.

You'd think, however sounds to me like she read it (I mean who doesn't check their mail?) but was totally done and didn't want to risk you misinterpreting her reaching out thanking you as interest.

Imo she did you a favor. No more analyzing or wondering about it...

It's done and you can move on from it and not give her or it a second thought. :(

Should have gone with the stuffed puzzy, man.
Now that would have elicted a response.

I wrapped mine nicely, with the card inside, so she wouldn't have known who sent it until she opened it.
I gave it to her roomie when she was out, and I heard that she burst into tears the moment she saw the little critter.
The females here don't like that because it seems somewhat of a bit of mindfvckery, but see, that's the whole point. Not to let them down gently, but allow her to vicariously feel.

"Go hard or go home"

Anyhow, you've been smashing this particular somewhat damaged plate for six months straight, which is remarkable when you think about it.
Even though your ego may be slightly bruised, you got out with your sanity intact, so take that as a win.

Well, bummer for you but not surprised. Like others have said, she's no longer worth your time or investment. There are better chicks out there. Just keep a positive vibe & chalk this one up to cuckoo.

Cheers
