Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Hey,

Been a long time forum lurker but first time poster. Looking for some advice

So I went out with this girl last Wednesday. The date went really well, had good conversation and built good rapport. But there was no kiss close or anything and I maybe didn't escalate when I should have.

We texted a little bit over the next couple days and made plans to hang out on Sunday. She texted me Sunday inviting me out to grab a drink with her.

We went out and like the first date, things went really well. Built a good rapport and lots of IOI, plus a lot of kino and playful touching as the night went on.

After several drink she invites me back to her place around the corner. So we go there and everything seems to be going well. We start making out and I try escalating but she slows it down etc. etc. All that's fine except I have to work at 8am the next morning and it's going on past 3:00am. So she tells me I can stay over if I want, but I say I probably shouldn't. I take off, and she walks me to the door, where we continue making out for a little bit. I leave and everythign seems good and fine.

So all night she'd been saying that I should come out with her and some friends the next day on Monday to a club. So monday afternoon she sends me a text saying they're not going Monday but maybe on wednesday. I just texted her back "okay".

So then on Tuesday I find out I probably won't be able to go out wednesday night so I send her a message letting her know I'm probably gonna have to flake but that I like her a lot and I'd like to see her again. I think this was a bad AFC move because afterwards her text responses slowed down considerably.

So yesterday (Wednesday) she starts messaging me to tell me that she's for sure not going out even if I was free cuz she's got an essay to finish. So I texted her about that, and then she said maybe she'd go out later. I said whatever, and that I was going out for some drinks with some friends anyways and she could text me later if she wanted (this was true). So later on she texts me to tell me she's not going out, and I just kind of stopped texting after that.

So what do I do from here? I don't really wanna keep texting her, especially after a pretty big AFC blunder earlier. Also, she said she was pretty busy this week and would have to keep me posted and I don't wanna come off as desperate. Should I just no contact for a little bit and wait for her to get back at me?

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Why is AFC saying that you liked her and wanna see her again? Should an alpha just grunt at the women we like. You use words like a normal human being and if she flakes or just wanted validation, so what? Her loss.

She did sound indecisive with the whole "I'm going Tuesday" then "I'm not going Tuesday", but what else can be expected from women? I wouldn't even care about that too much since it's not like she was flaking on you.

Give her a couple days of space, try to get her to meet with you again. If she flakes, NEXT.

Why do you think she's losing interest? It sounds like she likes you.

Hold off on the texting a bit. I think texting has its place but you might be texting too much. You don't want her to think you are totally into her and you have nobody else because you'll appear desperate.

Give her a day or two then send her something like:

dek: Hey xx what's going on?
her: hey dek blah blah
dek: Awesome, hey let's get together on Tuesday for xxxxxxx

I text for small conversation once in a while but most of the time it's just for setting up dates. If you are always texting it then it seems like you have nothing else going on in your life.
