Good stuff. If I may make a suggestion, you should definitely consider building a main site. Almost every forum I've ever been on has always gone through the same pattern: rise, decline, and a slow agonizing death. There are only two forums which have been an exception (Sosuave being one) and the reason being, I think, is the main site was the primary draw. In other words, never expect a forum to be self-sufficient.
