So yes, this is ****ing long. I recommend a cup of tea whilst reading
I'll start from the beginning, I began university and moved into student accomodation for my first year.
I fast became friendly with a bunch of lads and a girl across the way, we'd hang out and watch films, eat together and hit the town together and have a great time.
Nothing seemed amiss really, I mean the lads complained about the girl occasionally and she was a little perculiar at times but you could describe it away as being quirky and just girl ****.
Anyways we'll fast forward a little to the point that we all decide we want to move in with each other next year into a house. Things are good we're all happy and I personally can't wait!
But....
We get towards the end of our first year at uni and to say it goes to **** is putting it mildly.
In the space of 5 days this girl tries to take her life twice. The first time we take it as the cry for attention and help it was (she took an asprin overdose and then immediately told a housemate. So we get her an ambulance and off she goes to hospital.
The second time it's the exact same thing only this time it's a lot harder to get her to hospital, we get the ambulance and the paramedics have to talk her out of her room and it was touch and go for awhile.
Anyways, whilst in hospital she attempts to discharge herself only to get sectioned under the mental health act and find herself put in a mental asylum.
I **** you not, this is all true.
So being the caring friends we are, we go to visit her while she stays in the loony bin tho **** me it was scary...
She eventually comes out and has a counselling session and alls well that ends well right?
No...
Moving 6 months down the line here we've unfortunately had to move in with this girl and at the back of our minds is the question will she try again?
So, we back off a little. We don't do as much together, and she's not stupid she notices.
It gets to the extremes she'd cry in her room about her the other guys were treating her and come to me to talk about it (this makes it all the more incredible when you see how this ends, trust me)
Or one occasion I'm at work and I get a text from the guys saying come home, this girl is smashing the place up and sure enough she's raging about something.
So with all this going on it comes to boiling point one night when I have a girl in my bed and this housemate knocks on my door and asks could I put a DVD on for her. Innocent enough and although annoyed at the interuption understandably I get up and do it as I'm a decent guy.
I put the DVD only to turn around and find her crying with cuts down her arm and blood dripping on the floor where she has cut herself with a blade.
I'm in shock and immediately go to hug her to find out what's wrong, and I bandage her cuts and stop the bleeding.
Keep in mind this is all going on when I have a girl in my bed in the other room...
From there I'm immediately busting my universities balls, sending e-mail after e-mail demanding they help this girl ASAP before it all goes to **** and she does herself some serious harm.
I felt responsible in a way, and to say I was stressed out of mind because of it...holy ****ing ****....
Finally, we get her into some counselling and she comes home one day and we all sit down and talk about the house situation to the point she says she wants to move out and what to do we think (I swear 100% that's what she says and you'll see why later on)
Now, by coincedence I was 24 hours from telling her the same thing to move out and had already blocked her number on my phone. I wanted nothing more to do with this girl and so I agreed as did the rest of my house she should leave...
So that was in the beginning of December, and considering she knew she would have to pay rent by the middle of January you'd think she'd pull her finger out and get looking for a tenant to replace her so it wasn't her problem right?
Nope, I come back after Christmas to find she's done sweet **** all....and she's moving out in 7 days.
So rent date comes and she pays up, only to then drop the bombshell on us that by the time it comes in February should we not have a tenant we will pay her rent as we agreed in our little talk before she moved out....
I've never been so angry at being lied to a bull****ted to! We were in this position because she hadn't found a tenant! Why were we paying for her **** laziness!?
It gets better tho, regardless of whether we said we would or wouldn't, she felt we were obligated to do so because at the time of asking us about moving out she didn't want to do so but we effectively kicked her out according to her.
And yet we know from a close friend who's she spoke to that she was happy to move and thought it was for the best!
So now this maniac girl is lying through her teeth and bull****ting us to **** and it's ****ing infuriating.
We get our **** together and start looking for a tenant while she does **** all as per. We must have had 20+ viewings and no one was interested which was beyond infuriating.
BUT!
Rent for february is approaching and by a pure stroke of luck someone wants her room! Forget that she's a 40 year old nigerian, by all accounts it's a done deal....
Or it was till I was told I had to sign a contract stating I want her to live with me....a nigerian woman I know nothing about.
So I do the ****ing sensible thing and refuse stating that I don't this women and until I do I won't sign jack****!
This leads to my ex housemate calling me and giving me torrent of abuse, how I'm selfish, I only think of myself and i don't care.
I DON'T CARE!? ****ING ME WHO VISITED YOU IN THE MENTAL ASYLUM, WHO BANDAGED YOUR CUTS, WHO YOU COULD TALK TO ABOUT ANYTHING!?
She even calls my best mate who is a housemate and says he should ditch me as a friend I'm that much of a **** person apparently.
I have never wanted to punch another person so bad and had she been in front of me I might just have!
I tell her bluntly to **** off.
It gets better tho, the estate agents get wind that I won't be signing this contract and suddenly their payday isn't happening.
Obviously they don't like this and bluntly state that should my ex housemate not pay the rent when due they will then initiate legal proceedings against the rest of the house.
This time, I bluntly tell them to **** off!
It all comes to a head when I get a phonecall from this nigerian woman who by this time I've stated i won't sign the contract to and she's crying and it's all gone to **** and I'm like look I don't ****ing know you, let's just sit down and ****ing talk and if you seem like a geniuine person then I'll sign the contract.
To cut possibly the longest post on SS short, I've got to know her and will now sign the contract.
And would you believe it, ex housemate is now all chummy wanting to get her mail etc and I can't wait to see her face to face to give her a piece of my mind.
