"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Please when you are writing tips or asking advice, keep your posts concise and to the point! I'm not here to read your life story or your intricate analyses and theories, so when I see a long post, I think "fvck it" and close that sucker immediately!

Everyone here praises Pook as the all time DJ master, but I've never made it through an entire post! Talk about inflated, boring, long winded and patronising drivel!

There are other posters I shall not name who do the same thing. Their content is good but their presentation and verbosity ruins it!

Am I speaking the truth?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

No. The best of Pook's posts are not about his lifestory, they are about selfimprovement. Besides, they aren't that long. It takes maybe 10 minutes to read them. And they're gold.

I agree on you with people telling long story's all about their problems and asking for a solution. (or a quick fix, or magic pill, so to speak)

Pook has good content, but what grinds on my nerves is all that nonsense where Pook talks about hypothetical situations and advises his imaginary student as though he is Jesus or Buddha or something!

EG:

Pook hands you the chalice. Drink and pass the cup around. This water from the Fountain of Youth will wash away these errors, all those ‘frames’ your bitter memories eat at your mind. Drink to the girls that rejected you viciously.
Sounds like he's been playing too many online role playing games to me.

LOL.

I think he is good and that he writes pretty well. Sure, maybe he applies some childish techniques, but that's his way of keeping his posts entertaining. And he does that by patronizing his readers (which I find funny).

Rollo Tomassi is perhaps the best at giving advice in here for what I've seen.

Here is why:

One thing is to write something (anyone can do that) by creating a thread...another is to ANSWER somebody's problem by providing advice.

I can read 10 books (and dozens of threads) and write something about it (plus adding some of my real life experiences to validate my point)...another is to REPLY to somebody's thread and provide ADVICE.

You see? There is a huge difference between both.

For starters, when you are giving advice, you have to make some assumptions (after all, you don't know the woman in question and for that matter the man asking for the advice). The person receiving the advice will see those asumptions and will notice your level of knowledge based on the accuracy of those assumptions. Furthermore, it illustrates certain knowledge. After all...if the person decides to follow your advice and that advice works...he can come back and say so. For the same token...you get my point.

I will tell you more...most of the "generic" advice given in here works for average woman (the ones that go to bars, nightclubs, etc.). In general, most of those women are easy to pick. Like somebody said in one of the articles: his success rate was 80% with most of those 'married' or 'LTR' or even single women he met in nightclubs, etc. However, what about that other 20%? What about the single ones among the 20% data? Who wants an easy woman? I don't. Because that doesn't make me different than any other man. If a woman can get laid by 4 guys in a month...why should I seek that woman too? I am the prize. She is not.

Once you find a "great" woman (which on itself might not be that hard)...The hard part is KEEPING that woman interested in you...and loyal. Those are the kind of advice that I find valuable.

ANY man with certain level of capability can sleep with dozens of women. But it takes a very good one to sleep with a GREAT woman...and do that consistently. You see? We can lie (and I'm not talking about the white lies we say to play games either, but the REAL lies) our way into sleeping with multiple women. But at the end...that is not going to better ourselves. After all, we would still a lie.

But a man that betters himself and doesn't have to pretend he is a doctor (when in reallity he is a mechanic) and LIVES the lifestyle of "the prize" is a man that can be succesful...regardless if he sleeps with 10 sluts or one great woman. And a man like that will always have a woman by his side.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I think it's all about format. What I try to do is make my statement in the first couple of sentences and use the body of the reply to substantiate my views and then close with the last paragraph by restating my view or posing another question.

Unless I'm on a rant..... :p
In those instances, you can get the gist of what I'm saying by just reading the first sentence of each paragraph. :)

Another thing - although I'm not sure if you'll agree with me on this - is how some people reply. For example one person will post about something their girlfriend has done etc and ask for advice, and about the half the posts are just "yeah that happened to me blah blah here's my life story" without giving any advice. Surely if they felt it was so important to post about their own things they'd create a new thread rather than hijacking someone else's.

Yes I do agree to a point. If they give an example where they overcome a similiar problem it's different becos it shows they have experience which is VERY important but think you mean the rants where people go off about their own problems etc and that is totally pointless!
