"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

One thing about my gf that can get irritating is that she loves to talk about herself (doesn't every girl)? Really, she loves to talk about past experiences or incidents in her life. For instance, I might make a short comment about something. Immediately that triggers a response in her memory of experiences/incidents that happened to her in the past. Then comes the story.

The problem is that she HAS A STORY FOR EVERYTHING. When she starts talking, I try to be a good listener, but after a while (and she takes a while giving every vivid background detail), I start to fade out, and it pretty much comes across that I DON'T CARE. I don't care about her experience as a lifeguard 3 years ago. I don't care what she did in elementary school in 3rd grade.

Instead of trying to listen to every story she has, I sometimes just act extremely disinterested. I'll look off to space. I'll do something else, and let her exhaust all of her storytelling.

The issue is that I sometimes feel bad about this. Have you guys ever known people who love talking about themselves about things that have ZERO relevance to you? Sure, it may be important to THEM, but to you, it has no importance, simply because you weren't there to experience the same things they did.

My gf is one of those people, and although I want to listen, since I know it's important to her, sometimes it can get monotonous.

Any opinions? Solutions?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I had a GF like this once, when she was boring the hell out of me like this I'd bust her balls about certain parts of her stories where she did something dumb or worth busting on. Using a little ****y/Funny would keep things interesting for me since I'd constantly be looking for things to jab her on. It would usually get a laugh however you can't do this too much or she might get offended, clam up, or stop talking entirely because she’s sharing stories that are important to her and in your case deeply connected to her. So, you have to temper it with a little "Oh ___ sounded interesting, did you do like ___ better?" or "wow you were smart to do that" or a "that must have been fun." Sneaking in the jabs keeps it fun and exciting and the follow up’s show her that you’re listening. (Ball busitng=unpredictable=lover and listening=caring=provider.)

All in all it sounds like her interest level in you is pretty high given that she’s relating these things to you, I usually only get this at the “potential long term relationship” phase after seduction, sex, and initial dating. She’s essentially building a bond with you by sharing her past and is probably looking for you to do the same (just don’t get too mushy if you plan to share! Friend feelings are not optional, I wrote the little joke below a while ago when I faced my first breakup due to “being too nice and sharing.”

Hope I helped.

Psalms 42 verse 1-5

On the barstool Mosses sat, talking and chatting with thou most holiest hot babe…Of jerks, emotions, of heartfelt problems and loss. Oh into the late hours of the night did they talk and rapport he did build. And when the night was long oh great compliment did she bestow upon him “Thou art a most thoughtful and generous friend!” and into the dark night she did flee. Then mosses stood from the stool, looked out among his people, and said “Thou shall avoid Friendship…Abandon all hope ye who enter!”

I feel sorry that you have a girl like this. I know girls like this that seem to always have an opinion and story that comes with one issue or another.

These girls are insecure and also narcissistic. I thank you however for removing girls like this outta the dating pool.

Remember dudes, just because a girl is hot, some guy somewhere is tired of putting up with her crap.

Women run on emotions/feelings. Your GF is simply verbalizing her emotions/feelings. It's like a feedback loop mechanism ... when she starts to talk about past experiences, she is reliving the emotions/feelings of those experiences.

Many husbands/BFs out there are still looking for the same solution that you are ... how to get them to stop talking. If you find the solution to this age old question, let us know. Until then, become a good listener or put your sunglasses on and learn to say "yes dear" intermittently while you're napping.

When a woman starts talking to much, I just fart on her face. Most girls don't like the smell of anus, so she will eventually associate the putrid smell with her excessive talking. Negative reinforcement.

Funny responses here.

Ya I guess a lot of guys are in the same boat as me. I think one reason I get so tired of it is because I am around her too much! I'll limit the time more so it doesn't become a monotonous drag.
