"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

yes im new here and i had no idea where to put this but i guess the mods can move it...

well i have a little story to tell...

before i read the articles on this site i was what u call a desperate little boy, needing a GF... i feel in love too quickly (or something) with any girl that showed a remote interest in me...however upon reading some articles i discovered that what i did was the most fu*ked up thing in the world...

i developed a sense of not caring and well it worked on my first GF who i met thru a friend... i never got her number or anything, but thanks to the net i got in contact with her, asked her to my formal (prom for u US ppls =)) and during that week i only spoke to her for only 2 nights... funny thing though she asked my friend if i hated her since i never called her... that's when i knew i was doing something right for a change...

a few days after the formal/prom we started dating... i finally got a GF... BUT to my goddamn horror it wasnt wat it was cracked up to be... she broke up with me at the same time her best friend broke up with my friend...all because i couldnt see her since i was studying for my finals... i got p!ssed off at her and said to her

"DONT ever call me unless u want to get back with me"

funnily enough she called (despite all the times i said i didnt care about her) and we got a bit more closer thru that period of time... i guess she realised she couldve lost me forever that night... we got back together a few months later

it was smooth sailing after that... we had our little odd fights... and when i was holidaying away we had a huge fight because she was being a little ***** and complainig about some ****... and again i told her i didnt care about her... few days later i got back and it was like nothing happened... a few weeks later i told her that i love her (big mistake it annoyed me a lot to tell her that)... a week later she said the same thing to me... the next week she pulled the strangest stunt (which reminds me this JUST turned 16 when i 1st dated her) she refused to kiss me infront of her house because fear of her parents... i lost it and told her off about that... she tried to twist it around and make me look bad... that's where i basically reverted to something i didnt like... i became a nice guy... again =(

i drove to her house to see her too often (at least twice a week).... however it doesnt stop there... like the strange concoction she is she pulled the strangest skitz on me and told me that she didnt love me anymore and that THE relationship was going for too long (ok so im dating a schoolgirl i realised that night)... she said she hated me blah blah but then she said i still have a small part that loves you... i didnt say anything and just told her i was going to go to sleep... and she goes call me in 15 mins if u cant sleep... i didnt call her, i fell asleep, i didnt message her... i was at work all day and to my surprise 3 missed calls and 2 SMS messages, saying that last night was nothing, that she was sorry and that she still loves me...

ok at that point i was confused and went and seeked some help about what the hell was going on... my cousin said that there is no point in understanding women at all and said that i now have the upper hand...

however the latest thing she pulled was this... we planned a trip to the zoo with my friend and my GF's best friend... she promised me "if urr not at the dock by 10am we're going to leave without you"... my friend and I tried our best to get there on time but they left... this of course annoyed me for a couple of mins at that point i was wondering whether to leave or not... i kept going... by the time we got there it was midday... 2hrs passed and she refused to meet us at the entrance of the zoo... so we seeked her out... we couldnt find her at the spot she said she was... we then stopped and told them to meet us... then she sent me this SMS

"we're at the elephants, we cant be bothered climbing up a hill"

hours passed we didnt meet until the last minute and i told her off, and she was blabbering on about something... and then i did something i thought i'd never do
i turned around and just walked away from her...

it wasnt that hard to do... she later that night tried to tell me off... and i hung up on her... but called her back to tell her off some more and requested an apollogy... after all iam her BF!!!

it's been 3 nights and she hasnt called or said anything to me... and our six months is comming up... she wont be around to see that since im breaking up with her the next time she calls... or on sunday... which ever comes first...

my first GF... what a goddamn headache it was...

my question is that i want advice on what i did wrong ... i know it's not the full story but still these are the main events.

however i have one more question... IF she does appologize for all that she is done (i reckon i have more chance of winning lotto with the same numbers 5 times then getting an appology from her) SHOULD i take her back or get another one? dont get me wrong i do love her still... but i know there are many more out there...

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Sometimes....

....it wasn't meant to be.... just take it as a learning experience. Two people who care about each other don't do those things... obviously, you two weren't right for each other or you wouldn't have done those things.... shake it off, and forge on.... maybe the next one will be more for you.... if sh*t hits the fan again along the same lines.... you may have to do take a look at yourself... the problem may be you, and attitude.

At your age, there is no need to "attach" yourself to anyone or anything. I agree with In-Laws. Your relationship with this girl is like a rollercoaster -- one moment you're annoyed at each other and the next moment you're declaring your love. This type of relationship is bound to go bad sooner or later.

however i have one more question... IF she does appologize for all that she is done (i reckon i have more chance of winning lotto with the same numbers 5 times then getting an appology from her) SHOULD i take her back or get another one? dont get me wrong i do love her still... but i know there are many more out there...
You just answered your own question. Even if she apologize, do you think you'll respect her as much? Do you think her credibility is trustworthy? As you said, there are many fishes out there. You're just carrying a load of bricks, all you have to do is let it go.
