"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Hi
So I've been talking with this girl and she started texting me. It seemed like she's not interested and I'm doing all the chasing - initiating conversations, showing interest, etc . The other night I sent her a text and she responded with a rude response saying shes really busy working midnights at the hospital. I wrote back a polite response.
Now I get a text saying "hey good morning. sorry aboutt my last text I hit send before I could complete it and was swamped with work after! the good news is I just have two more graverad shifts and then Ill be back to normal people time!"

So that was nice to hear. I just wrote back saying good morning, np about the text.

I'm going to back off and let her make the moves... do you think that is a good idea? It seems like showing interest has gotten me nowhere.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

She felt guilty, thats why you got a response apologizing. She's not really interested. I'd just move on and maybe try again at a later date if I didn't have anything better to do. You kind of come across as trying too hard.

She showed SOME interest following up with you in the morning. Some women have a difficult time handling stress, especially at the workplace - and can be short tempered for flustered when so.

I wouldn't say it is a dead end - but apply some NC and find other women to game with in the mean time. DO NOT give all your attention and dreams to this one person or else you will get Oneitis.

Good luck.

With respect,

Exodus

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Texting KILLS relationships.

Okay - for the benefit of those who say I say this all the time, let me modify here: texting incorrectly KILLS relationships. For example: why were you texting her when you did? Was it just to talk? No bueno - although I still find it to be quite a lame way to ask a girl out, texting should only be used when you're trying to set something up. You hitting her up for a chat session makes you look PATHETIC, DESPERATE, and like you're too afraid to have a convo on the fly with her. Plus, you don't know when she's busy doing other stuff, so your constant stream of text coming in while she's doing HOSPITAL work is only going to be annoying.

My suggestion: lay off the text, and only hit her up when you're trying to take her somewhere. Save the conversations for when you're on a DATE with her, maaaaaan!

think about a girl you really liked, would you risk your chances by blowing up on her that you was busy?

Why would you be polite to rudeness?

Do you think a man being noble to her rude behavior makes her wet?

Correct response: No response OR bust her @ss.

Bust her!

"Too bad you won't go back to being normal people." Then DON'T apologize under any circumstance!

If you don't want to be harsh, fine.... Just say "Yawn".... Just like that... I do this all the time and women HATE IT!

You need to spark some emotion in this woman... Currently - she's doing it all herself (by feeling bad that she was mean to the nice guy).

Better advice: Move on to the next one and forget this one. Only chance you have with her is if she gets really bored one night and you get her drunk enough.

Showing interest is fine....

Showing interest by saying "Hey, how's your day going sweetie?" is NOT.
