I don't believe he made the joke about the 18 year old, but I don't think it matters. He doesn't matter to me if she was 14 (which is old enough to get pregnant), 18 or 28. If (which will never happen) he had made the same joke about a liberal politician's daughter then it would've been considered by most everyone as offensive. All this outrage is just a way for Sarah to generate heat to coin a phrase from wrestling. That woman and her family has been the butt of so many jokes its ridiculous. Now that she's out on her own and trying to get noticed by her own party, she wants to take a stand. It's just like when Bill O' Reilly skipped over every woman Eminem made fun of in his video to say how wrong it was to make fun of funbags...I mean Palin.

It took Letterman a couple days to come out and say it was about the 18 year-old Bristol. Why did it take him so long to respond?
The daughter he was talking about was definitely Willow. He was talking about how how Palin and her daughter were in NY at a Yankee game recently and then she got knocked up by A-rod in the 7th inning. The daughter that was with Palin at that game was Willow. Pretty obvious he was lying.
No one here can deny that it was a terrible joke about a young woman who did nothing to deserve it. Imagine if someone made that joke about your daughter on National television? I don't think anyone here would be laughing. I think they would want to tear Lettermans arms off and beat him with them. Or sue the hell out of him.
