"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I am not even talking about women. I am reaching out to you as a person who wants to know how to be successful even just as a friend to other guys. I just start to notice more and more that I really don't have much "person skill" to start with.

Don't get me wrong, I have friends, people I hang out with, but I want more than just being an average Joe to everyone. There are some really interesting people out there who are "cool" people, and maybe you're one such person. I can't give you text book description of it, but we all know that guy. What personality can I learn to improve myself towards that?

Fellas, give me some tips here!!!

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

People will recognize you when you stand out from the crowd; whether you are good at athletics, intelligence, or be a good musician. Being a stand-out at parties/social events will also help as well.

Main point is: When you have an opportunity, learn about the things that interest you; you'll pick up some good advice along the way which can be used to help others in need.

I would say there's a variety of things to improve on, such as leadership. The ability to lead others in a time of crisis is an excellent quality. Also doing the right thing based on your principles and not the population as a whole. Another quality I would say is to have an open mind. To be able hear the ideas of others and have conversations based on diverse subjects, while not being afraid to give your opinion. In addition, being able to connect with a variety of people rather than a select group of people to expand your social circle.

I would say improve on just being yourself and do things that make you happy.

Here are three things that put you above most people IMO:

1. Don't gossip. People respect someone who doesn't talk shyte about other people. Like mom always said, if you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything at all.

2. A secret is a secret. If someone tells you something in confidence, that's the end of it. Take it to the grave. Don't be like the other 99% and tell somebody you think won't tell anybody lol.

3. Keep your word. If you are going to do x on y day, do it. When I make plans with someone, I show up, even if I don't feel like it.

These things aren't obvious attention-getters like being the life of the party, but they make you more respectable over time.

I really appreciate you guys for the starter. Just for further input respondent to the posts, I stand out from the crowd in my own way, sometimes good, and sometimes bad; For example, I would speak out in class when everyone is little shy to be the first one. My heart beats from nervousness, but I do it anyways. Sometimes, however, I might act like an "a$$hole" because I prize me over anyone else most of times, therefore talk bit direct or blunt, like telling couple girls to be quiet if they talk loud in class or being straightforward with people.

Thankfully for my dad, I was taught to not whine or complain, because that makes a man look weak. Ever since I internalized that teaching, I catch myself rarely b!tching about something when most people do (especially women). I take secrets to grave, and most of times keep my words, and if I can't, almost always send text to notify to reschedule.

I am ok guy, but I want to be excellent. I don't see myself exceptionally interesting or have that personality that "pulls" people in. I want to be exceptional.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

You clearly have underestimated the extent to which your mind has been feminist-ized. It gushes forth in the language of every post you make.

You are not a generic "person." Neither is anyone else. A human being is either a "man" or a "woman." You are a man. Become a better man. Stop trying to inculcate within yourself the traits of a better or worse woman. Stop trying to please women. Please yourself by improving your masculine qualities. Those are the only qualities that you can ever truly succeed at developing.

You must pick a skill and become a master of your trade. Slowly but surely you will find yourself to be the most senior ranking person in the group, and your sheer experience will be what draws people to you. Then you will command a huge salary and can finally afford a family. Until then, everyone (including yourself) will be left wanting more from you.
