"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I'm curious about the whole tricking on girls thing. When me and my boys go out I made a rule to NOT buy girls we meet drinks @ clubs and bars. I was in a convo with mixed company and brought this up, one girl said I was cheap, she said if a guy wants her or her # then not only does he buy her a drink but all her girlfriends drinks too. I said thats cool, but I don't think i should have to buy someone something to win their favor or for them to like me. I said my personality should be enought just to make a convo with a girl. What yall think?

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

oddly enough alot of chicks have this menatlity. I guess it all depends on how you approach the girls, alot of suburb girls don't want you to be "too" agressive and alot of of fast paced ciyt or urban girls would rather a guy be direct with his intentions but not disrespectful. She was an urban girl, very pretty, older than me (shes 23-24). she wasn't pleased with my response.

Another rule i made was when we go out not to make the night about meeting or picking up girls but to make the night about enjoying myself. If we meet interesting chicks then good, if not then we still are alive and doin our thing. When you roll with this kind of mentality its hard for girls to rate or categorize or even prepare fo you. I try not to let others control my life even if they area a badd *****.

Even though I agree with you, it sounds as if you were qualifying yourself to this "drink digger" by explaining yourself. I guess it would depend on whether it was said as just a statement of fact or as a topic for debate. Eh, either way I still agree with 'ya.

your hysterical laughing at that suggestion would have been enough to let her know how out of place she was.. you don't have to explain why you do what you do.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

You're on the right track, but I'd flip it much stronger. Say something like, "Women buy *me* drinks" and look at her calmly. When a woman says some BS like that to me, I know I'm not going to date her, so it's open game to say any crazy BS that occurs to me and basically play with her. It's good practice for when you meet one actually worth dating.

I'm half and half on buying drinks for girls. I won't open with "can I buy you a drink" Likewise if a girl gets push from the get go and tells me to buy her a drink in the wrong way that's a definate deal breaker. You don't even wanna know what I'd do if she told me to buy her AND her friends drinks. But if the conversation is flowing nicely and we're getting along, sure I'll get her a drink. I'd buy anybody a drink, female or male alike, if we're getting along well cause it's just a good guesture.

ROFL thanks i've had this song in my head but i didn't know how it went thanks now i can happily dled.

As for buying a chick a drink I only do it in good gesture because "i want to" not because i feel obligated like every other chump. For example if the topic is some how brought up and i choose not to buy her a drink i would say something along the lines of. "oh so you expect me to buy your affection like the other chumps do haha" Of course It's C and F so she may oblige or whatever. Regardless i'm gonna have a good time.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Me and my girl were having this conversation yesterday. I said that when you buy a girl a drink you are sending out a signal that you have to but them something to be on their level and that you are not worthy. She of course disagreed and said it was just good bar etiquette. I said, as I do to any girl when this subject comes up, how many times has a guy bought you a drink and you actually even gave him a kiss? She, like the others, said anytime a guy buys them a drink it doesn't go anywhere.

Francisco d'Anconia-nah man not qualifying, just chilling and engaging in passive aggresive convo. She do look alright tho.

backbreaker-laughing would have made me seem, like I was without a defense, the expression on her face after my response was priceless.

On Point-nah I'm not really that petty, I just kept it funky and told her how I felt, and finsihed my lunch, she gon do what she gon do and I'm do me!

PRMoon-if you aint come with me i ain't comming outta pocket. period I don't care if your halle berry...its a power and control thing.

Tha Realnezz-your right I'll be no ones trophy or trick. No will laugh at me.

lildevil-If a chick asked me to buy her a drink i would say..."I have liquor at my crib, you wanna roll? We can do stuff there that we can't do here!"

triumvirate-like I said when i'm sitting donw with a chick to feel her out i haven't decided yet if I like her or not, maybe once i have decide, next time i might feel more comfortable coming out of pocket(date).

Never buy a girl a drink who you just met - rather it would be a good lead for your pick-up line - "lets get together on Friday and we can drink some pina coladas while we chat."

Her: "Sure, OK, if you treat?"

You: "Yeah, no problem, if you Trick!"

lol wutang, its not about not having money, its about having not being a fool with cash! Why be a sucker? I don't need $$$$ to compensate for my personality or looks. If I date a chick then thats differant, but cmon jus some random chick @ the bar, that I may or may not like...why bother?

this is why I stay away from bars

girls are already conditioned to expect a drink from guys for free

if you don't buy her the drink, she'll just go find another guy to do it.....so either way you end up not talkin to her

STAY AWAY FROM BARS!!!!

clubs are good though, dancing = easy free hookup

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
