Legal Seperation?

Hello fellow DJ'ers....I have a question for some of you guys. Probably the older DJ's will be able to answer for me....Does anyone know about being legally seperated and what it means? I'm kinda in the dark here..I started seeing this girl come to find out she's kinda still married I guess?? I'm not sure.....Any help is appreciated......Thanks....

It means she's still married, she just has legal documents stating the date, the time, and why the seperation occured. Like I said she's till married and can go right back to her husband if they concile with each other without needing any type of paperwork to make it offical.

Note: In some states like NC you have to be legally serperated for 12 full months in order to get divorced

No, there's on legal reprecutions you can incurr from spending time with a seperated woman. Her husband obviously won't be your biggest fan but if she's firm in her decision to stay seperated and doesn't spend anytime with him then you aren't crossing any lines.

Even if she was still married you couldn't get in trouble (with the authorities) for sleeping with her. The only trouble you might get in would be with her husband - who might come in with a baseball bat. However, in the courts eyes the only person who is punishable for infidility is the partner in the marriage who committed it - not who they committed it with.

Yeah true Diablo but I'm in the military so I'm sure it probably works different. But then again I guess I could always deny that I never knew about her being married and whatnot. Thanks for the advice though..Its much appreciated....

I'm in the military here at Fort Bragg, NC and yes you can get in trouble with messing with married people. I'm legally serperated and if I was to get investigated I can go down hard. Just be careful and play your cards right.

My wife is in the military here too but where not together. She reported me to her chain of command but luckily she didn't pursue it.

Don't know about the German military, but in the US military, "Adultry" is a puinishable violation of the UCMJ. (Uniform Code of Military Justice)!!
