Learning Italian

Hey Guys,

I will be heading over to Italy in late August of next year for festival and I've decided to learn Italian to help myself get around and not look like a complete tourist.

I'm kind of excited to go and to be honest I've never taken up the time to learn another language.

As long as I can squeeze in at least 30 minutes of studying time a day to go along with my poker training, hopefully by June I can be sorta fluent in both.

Are there any bi lingual or tri lingual posters on this site? if, so whats your second language?

You want to become fluent in a foreign language in six months by studying it for 30 minutes a day?? LMAO! That's kind of like saying "'I'm going to play football for 30 minutes a day and hopefully by June I can sort of compete in the NFL".

fluent? no i know thats impossible. just enough to hail a cab and grab some food. A friend of mine is fluent in Italian is going to the same festival so I can bounce broken Italian with him.

BTW..your analogy is wrong.

I have Italian Crash Course read by a female Narrarator. But I wouldn't say I'm trilingual. I just casually read over and learn what I can. Italian is awesome and the people are friendly.
