"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

This is a bit of rant, but hey, I'm in a ranting mood. People really need to drop the word 'alpha' from their vocabulary...or at least understand what it actually means. The concept of an 'alpha male' only makes sense in the context of a primitive, prehistoric society. An alpha male is nothing more than the biggest, baddest, strongest male who keeps the rest of the tribe under his thumb through coercion and intimidation. An alpha male does not have to game women or be "good with women". He can simply choose any female he wants, drag her to his cave and have his way with her. The alpha male gets the pick of the litter by definition. In the modern society, the greatest concentration of alpha males can be found in prison.

Using charm, cunning, game or whatever you want to call it to seduce women is actually a typical beta male strategy. A beta male cannot force himself on a female (that is the alpha's prerogative), so he has to resort to using trick and strategies to get women to give it up voluntarily. In other words, by learning game, you are training yourself to become more beta, not more alpha. Giacomo Casanova, the most famous womanizer of all times, spent his entire life in service of other men and was a typical beta.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Don't think alpha means forcing yourself on women or hitting them or killing them, just means don't take any crap from women while beta means you are always trying to please them.

Tricking women to sleep with you is called being manipulative. But hey, as long as its legal.

Are you completely sure that being alpha all the time means taking no crap from a woman and beta means pleasing them?

What you just described, the first one "not taking crap" is called a relation of 'supervision' and the second one "pleasing women" is called a relation of 'benefit'. If one is going to be a woman's supervisor all the time in a relationship, than that means she is a slave in a master-slave relationship and he is being generative for himself and degenerative for her. If one is going to act as a benefactor all the time, where the woman is the beneficiary than no one is acting the part to be in charge except the man is differing, thus being degenerative for himself and thus begging to give her the incentive to be generative.

Thus, its not necessarily being alpha or beta, it is an issue of black and white. Initiative is white and reaction is black. The man acting as a benefactor to a woman can very well be in the superior position and the man acting as a supervisor to a woman can very well be in an inferior position. However, being too much of one can cause one to go from a superior position to an inferior position and one in an inferior position to a superior position. To be a woman's supervisor is to become superior at her expense and to be a woman's benefactor is to become inferior at your expense. Thus, being one of the other 'all the time' is unhealthy, so a man should be aware to strike a balance in a relationship where both the man and the woman are generative, otherwise it turns degenerative. A relationship is either one or the other. It does not benefit a man to always be a supervisor to a woman or to always be a benefactor to a woman.

Typically, if looking at it from an "art of war" perspective", being an alpha male is about being generative and not facing the cycle of life versus death and a beta male means the male who is degenerative and facing the cycle of facing life versus death. In other words, the winners and the losers. And its not purely static for anyone all the time, just tendency and circumstance brings about one or the other for a man. Its always the man who is more offensive on another mans field and able to keep another man on the defensive in his own field who has alpha status in all fields, or rather the alpha the winner and the beta the loser.

When it comes to women both winners and losers have relationships and sex with women, when we are talking about how men rank among men. Because when a man and a woman form a household, they form their own fields. Its possible for a man who is beta among men to be an alpha with a certain woman within their own sphere. Likewise, its possible for a man who is an alpha among men to be a beta male to women within that sphere alone. However, among men the beta male usually ends up with an inferior woman and the alpha male a superior woman when comparing woman to woman. This is because bet males lose in competitions and alpha males win in competitions. When it comes to a competition among a group of men for a group of women, alpha males get first pick, always. Therefore, an alpha male is more likely to get say a beautiful woman over a plain one, for example; whatever his preference is.

Nothing in this world is static within the universe as a whole, just fixed when you look at the individual. But when you want a lasting relationship with a woman, it is better to seek to have a generative relationship with her. That means a spirit of oneness where there is a balance between supervision and benefit.

In a way, you are right. The ancients who understood the symbolic meaning behind the Greek alphabet understood that referring to a man as an 'alpha' male implied that he had the power of the moon to reflect light and the beta male is actually a man who faces the elements, because 'beta' in the symbolic Greek zodiac represents the sign of 'aries' which is the first of 12 houses of the Greek zodiac. Within the Zodiac itself, there is the 'iota' man who has the inner light, as iota represents the sun. The one who has the inner light is chief among beta males, and can become the alpha male. There is also the 'omega' male, who might be one tittle away from being a dead man.

'The Greek letter 'iota' also is a stand in for the letter 'kappa' which stands for the sign of leo, the lion. In Egyptian mythology, lions are reptilians. That is why an Egyptian pharaoh would wear a hat with a snake sticking out the front. The Egyptian pharaoh is the lion or rather the Spinx of the elements. Because a pharaoh is 'iota' among the other signs of the zodiac some ancient and occult societies viewed the sphinx as a composite character consisting of parts that represent the elements, air having wings, body of a bull for earth, and etc. You'll often find this symbology in relics that date back to the Babylonian people and its even found in the christian bible, old testament.

The reason that you are now referring to men as either "Alpha" or "Beta" males does indeed come from knowledge once only understood by Greek-Egyptian secret societies and later was used by more modern psychologists in the know who either caught wind of the symbolism just out of pure research or were themselves part of secret societies. For example, Carl Jung, Freud, Maslow got their terminology and perspectives either directly or indirectly from symbology related to secret societies. They may have badly misapplied the knowledge in some of their theories, but nevertheless that is where they got the main bulk of their theories from.

An alpha male is nothing more than the biggest, baddest, strongest male who keeps the rest of the tribe under his thumb through coercion and intimidation. An Alpha male does get his pick of the litter, and you are correct about Alpha males being in prison because a man who is mostly taking on the role of a supervisor with everyone is going to degrade everyone to the point to where they just want to get rid of him.

You are correct, because a man eventually becomes a beta male when he seeks to please a woman too much and she is not doing a whole lot to please him. Using tricks and deceit in a transparent way also lowers a mans social proof when discovered.

You're just messing with semantics and definitions here. We all know on some level what Alpha means more or less. That is its only purpose as a word. To convey an idea or thought into a communicable assemblage of mouth sounds.

If you want to change the word or change the definition of the word, that is something that you should know you are doing from the outset. You're not deflating egos by proclaiming alpha is actually beta. You're just readjusting the definition.

Alpha isn't beta. And what Bokanovsky said is correct. Are you saying that someone in this thread wants to adjust a definition of something?

I disagree that everyone has a clear picture of what an Alpha or Beta male is. Most men don't even know whether or not they are clearly alpha or beta in any given circumstance. Heck, probably most are self-proclaimed alphas who call themselves alpha even when they are the beta male. Not everyone is that realistic about their own world.
