"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Do you ever notice that guy who runs around trying to pick up all the girls by using the same line over and over. He fails constantly, and he is always scratching his head wondering, "why did not a single girl like me?". This of course leads us to sink farther into the rabbit hole of depression and bitterness towards women, you start to stop talking, you sit silently with a slight glare on your face, suddenly no girl is good enough for your time.

Do you ever find yourself falling into this trap? Do you ever feel like nothing you are doing is working, the same techniques are not getting it done? If you answered yes to any of these questions, listen up.

You have just gone out and bought your new favorite video game, it could be anything: shooter, rpg, racing, puzzle, sports. Any game you want, well, what is the point of every game, why do we feel compelled to play for reasons other than for fun with friends? We play because we want to beat the game, we want to win, and even then, if we really enjoyed the experience will go back and play it again on a harder difficulty. Now I want you to think of a point in the game where it just got unbelievably hard, no matter what you did you couldn't get past a certain point. Eventually however you figured it out, whether you checked online or something just clicked in your head. The reason you couldn't get past the part is because you were trying to do the same thing over and over, you know you think, "oh if I can just time this right to make this jump" or, "if I am just quick enough shooting enemy A and then enemy B". Think about it, we have all been there trying the same move over and over in futile attempt to win, and then one time we notice something different and our approach changes, and we win.

Girls are much the same way, as much as I hate to compare to video games, they really are. If you keep trying the same move, or the same combo everytime without success, and your mind set is "if I just do it better it will work" You will contiually fail. There is always an easy way out, or easier way for that matter, and that is what being a DJ is all about, finding that one spot that not everyone notices. The trigger to the problem, there will always be one.

So I suggest this to you all, learn from your mistakes, just like you would in any video game. If it isn't working, you probably are doing something wrong, very rarely is there an actualy "glitch" in the game. Also, spend more time trying to solve the problem and less time searching for the answer. Think about it, the first time you ever played Goldeneye for N64 it was probably so difficult to you, it took a knack to understand the concept of a first person shooting game. Then as more and more such games came out, you started being better and better from the get go, you now understood the mechanics of the game, and therefore you could do better. This same theory could be applied to playing an instrument, or a sport, anything you want. It is all about taking your mistakes, learning from them, and then discarding them and trying again.

Keep this mindset, I hope my little metaphor will have helped you get a grasp on the concept of learning from your mistakes, and exactly what it means.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Dude I most definatly agree. Haha we never notice the mistakes we make in anything in life until after, its just like taking tests at school and stuff. The important thing is to eventually study or find a way to pass that test. When I was consumed with feelings of doom and oneitues and pedastaling anychick which gave me a minute of her time I could probly write a book about all the stupid chumpy things I did. Now when I look back I m somewhat glad Ive made those mistakes. Now I realize everything I did now and can study it and take something from it without being scared because that was when things were worst, and the worst is behind.

HOWEVER....I beat the boss in Mortal Kombat 2 doing a high kick for both levels. Haha my bro was soo pissed
